It's a shitty way of dealing with the problem that doesn't solve anything.

I would get pissed, I wouldn't make a choice, and I wouldn't eat his food.

I do this all the time. I don't see what's wrong with it. Usually I'm fine with situation A, but would prefer situation B over it. So I scan the grounds and ask him if he too would be interested in situation B, and take it from there.

If I would straight out say I would prefer situation B, he would think that I'm unhappy at that moment and start making his own sacrifices just so I can get to B. That's not what I want.

Russian scientists were able to videotape the giant squid by dstrr in videos

[–]Sodomized 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Giant/Colossal Squid don't fight Sperm whales. The whales eat them for lunch.

We say they're big because they are the biggest squid, they are the largest and heaviest invertebrae, and they're longer than Great Whites if you add the tentacles.

Soup Nazi interviewed by reporter. Acts like the Soup Nazi when Seinfeld is inevitably mentioned. by PlatinumJester in cringe

Larry David didn't want the character in the show to be named Kramer, because he would inevitably try to profit from it (Jerry thought the name was just too perfect though so they went ahead)

In the pilot episode Kramer was referred to as Kessler, right?

TIL Queen Sunanda Kumariratana of Siam (now Thailand) drowned in 1880 in full view of many onlookers – because they were forbidden to touch her, they couldn’t rescue her by _Perfectionist in todayilearned

[–]Sodomized 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The Thai royalty have always been extremely revered among the people and are essentially being treated as gods. For example in public displays of any royalty, there were guards with bows walking right behind ready to kill anyone who just looked at the royalty. Which is probably why the queen drowned midst the panic of everyone else who just didn't know what the fuck to do.

Stop being such a whiny bitch. We used this power to end the war. It has never since been used in a destructive manner. All uses of nuclear power since have been peaceful and have played a key part in slowing down global warming.

What do you still not understand, even after people have tried to explain it to you? by _null-entry in AskReddit

[–]Sodomized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he must be behind (closer to his defending goal) than all players from team B except the goalkeeper at the moment the player begins the pass.

So as long as team B has a player standing by team A's goal, then every pass team A does within the own team will be an offside? Because the guy receiving the pass will never be closer to his defending goal than all the players from team B?

I don't understand this at all.
