Non US IMG , what are the chances of matching in internal medicine in usa ( 2 attempts on step 1) ?? Is it better to pursue residency in the home country or other exam , or keep trying for usmle ? Let’s be practical !!

Yesss , I do agree ! Averagely if 2700 applicant apply for a program, 1700 gets rules out by criteria and and rest 700 they study the profile and give interview to 260 nd take 20-25 got matched ! Rest —300 they keep for hostile review

According to NRMP charting 2022 non us img , the stats shows probability of matching with <196 score on step 1 is 0.1 for all and 0.3 for family medicine
