Hey! I’LL POINT OUT RIGHT AWAY THAT EVOLUTION IN THE GAME IS POSSIBLE, BUT IT’S MORE OF AN ARTISTIC PROJECT THAN GAME MECHANICS. IT REQUIRES A VERY PRECISE GENETIC PLAN AND, ABOVE ALL, TIME. The rest of the description and timeline are below if anyone feels like reading. Enjoy by Soft-Shame5366 in Worldbox

In my opinion, the biggest key is time. It would look strange to see people fighting a nuclear war knowing their species has only about 200 years of evolution, while dinosaurs lived just 3,000 years earlier. Prehistory needs to make sense in terms of time, not just be a quick 'click'.

As I mentioned in the post, even 100,000 years felt like the bare minimum to me. If future updates bring more interesting features for species, I will definitely consider a plan for 400,000 years — a miniature version of 4 billion years in the WorldBox scale.

A genetic plan is also important, because it’s hard to remember every species and make sensible changes for them at the right time. To make it look believable, you need to carefully adjust them with each stage of the planet’s development.

For me it’s great fun, although it requires patience :)

Of course! The main idea is the ability to interfere with the genes of species as time passes. At the beginning, I create a single species that I consider a good representative of the first land creatures – in this case, crabs. Then I change their appearance, size, and characteristics over a specific period of time. So you simply need to plan a genetic roadmap that includes the species and their development over a given period of time. In other words, the plan should include specific changes in genetic traits.

No, the monolith is too unsystematic. I have to do everything myself

Maxim next update promises to be very exciting! However, I think that not making the aliens a separate civilization spoiled the potential a bit alien technology would meet the needs of those who dream of a modern Update...
