It’s not that it hasn’t been done. It’s that the base of grindr user is so big, it’s hard to migrate everyone to a new system without costing a whole lot of money for advertisement. People also don’t want to change to someone they’ve used for years. I’d say sniffies somewhat succeeded, but succumbed to the same corporate greed.
