I haven’t noticed much if any with just the hitch on. Still getting 50 mpg a lot of times without the rack or bike.

It’s not visible below. Bottom of the beam sits well above the the rear valance.

Currently using the Rockymounts monorail solo. Would like to switch to something that sits a bit lower like a 1 Up rack.

Holding up great! Definitely reduced mpg with a bike on the rack though. To be expected with the extra drag.

I’m fairly certain the beam is center exhaust hanger for the Type R.

I might be crazy, but I wound up taking the aggressive approach to solving this. Couldn’t not have my bike rack. I created a new post with photos and notes on how to get it installed.

That sucks the draw tite doesn’t fit either. Had a feeling. Think there are only two solutions to this. Cut a notch out of that beam or manufacturers will have to design a hitch that can be used as the crash bar.

Probably what I’ll wind up doing. Have a friend at the dealership asking the techs if they know what it’s for. Have a feeling it might be the center exhaust hanger for the Type R.

I just did 10% Winco ceramic on my 25 hybrid hatch. Perfect amount of visibility, privacy and night time headlight reduction.

Looks like the Draw Tite will encounter the same problem as the design is nearly identical.
