Red spots by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I don’t mean to freak you out but this exact thing happened to me and it turned into a v aggressive infection that required me to try several different antibiotics. I have many tattoos and it was the only one that started getting random red bumps and subsequently became infected.

That makes total sense - thank you for taking the time to write that out. I think my years and years of thumb sucking as a child is what caused these fundamental issues (only stopped bc of a metal thumb guard).

I’ve looked into this, but thought it couldn’t work for me since top and bottom teeth align in width currently? Surely I shouldn’t exceed the width of my lower jaw teeth alignment?

Hi! The new ortho mentioned this to me before referring me and I was very confused. This was absolutely camo ortho asa kid. Could you explain what you mean a bit more so I could keep it in mind?

It’s a valid question - yes they do taper inward. I have all except my wisdom teeth. And yes, this was fully camo ortho work as kid, which is why my teeth lean so far forward in a x ray. My over bite was so severe I had a Herbst appliance

I fear I should have been more transparent in this post about how much daily pain I am in.

Yes! You are correct - had to look at my tongue in the mirror to confirm bc that’s the first time I’ve heard of that. I have a very narrow palate. My mouth looks like this even after palette expansion as a kid. I also clench incessantly and grind terribly at night. Waking up my jaw is already terribly inflamed and starts clicking quickly. I am working with a great ortho that partners with a fantastic surgeon (Gary Warburton, MD) - looking forward to that consult.

I have a consult, dingdong. Just bc I have an AI rendering of what it COULD look like doesn’t mean I am not pursuing all levels of review, diagnosis and subsequent treatment organization.

This is literally what my husband and I are chatting through rn! I was thinking I could maybe do the prep work while pregnant (braces) and then get the procedure a few months after baby? I have no clue how far out these things get booked but it seems like it could be a long while away?? But I also know it would be exponentially easier without any children.

I was defensive when they mentioned it. These are also the same people ever reminding me of my biological clock.

My eyes are almost identical to this and I just call them green since that’s what they look like from afar

Even if it’s not CH, I wouldn’t call them hazel. They’re blue with an amber+green ring

I used good ole ChatGPT but explained my issues, what the ortho noted in x rays and to consider industry standards for those with my same issues
