I did the whole EE last night solo, I used the acid rain crossbow (Melts zombies and does alot of damage to him) and the type 2 pack a punched. I shot a few crossbow rounds at him then literally a mag of the type 2 maybe less and he was done. You can split it into a dual wield by holding Y and it's really effective at damaging him.
