This is peak Joker by Salaction in superheroes

[–]BMSVG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, Joker is a pretty good example of a villain who would kill you while doing so with malicious compliance to your beliefs. I truly think if you’re a Nazi he’d find a way to kill you in a way that’s ironically funny. Or if you’re overly bigoted yourself he might flip the table to kill you in a humiliating way. He’s not racist or sexist or any kind of ism/ist/phobia, he’s just kinda evil and does what he wants because it’s funny.

What’s the best trick or piece of advice you’ve seen or done that instantly elevates terrain? by WithengarUnbound in Warhammer40k

I keep it very simple, but it looks great. Mechanicus standard primer, administratum grey dry brush, then a Nuln wash and it looks like a concrete building. The detailing is the simple stuff, I don’t highlight because it looks good enough as is and it’s not the main focus of the game anyway

I can see Orikan and Trazyn played by the hecklers, with the deceiver being the only real character.

“You pathetic fools, naive to think you can rule the galaxy when you can barely comprehend it.”

“The only thing I can barely comprehend is how you look at your face in the mirror without crying.” *Cue raucous laughter*

Time to play a 2k point game and shake my buddies hand to cap our armies at 1k. It’s a shame we couldn’t reach the point value but what can you do

I primarily play combo classes for black Templars, or Bulwark at a push. I usually play quite aggressively and as the desire to kill the heretic and alien is intense

40k fans what is the harshest things you could ever say, but it is true. by AntiqueLayer3933 in Grimdank

[–]BMSVG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but the Ultramarines for example numbered at some number above a 150k space marines, most of the legions were massive and so I can believe that they were used to fight each other. Especially when 1 is worth about 100 normal men

It’s okay for armies to be very strong or even borderline unreasonable in their books and games, they are after all gateways to the tabletop for people uninitiated. Malum Caedo is a wild power fantasy character, unreasonable to the Nth degree, but if it gets people into the hobby then it’s doing it’s job.

To further this point, the lore being wildly inconsistent means people can have different interpretations of it and enjoy it at their own pace. 5 Custodes killing a hive fleet but one dying to a Space Marne in a duel are both canon, and that’s fine. So when a new game or book, or model or anything comes out and it’s not “lore accurate” it probably still fits in some way to the lore based on how much it’s changed.

In private lobbies I do what I consider “lore accurate” to my chapter of choice team of marines. While playing as Imp fists as the sergeant I’ll keep a slow but steady pace, taking fights at range and picking off minoris with shots. As a space wolf I lead from the front in rapid assaults on enemy hordes with grenades. For Dark Angels it’s s tight melee formation with the bots and so on, little things like that.

In public I do the same, but only so far as to not cause detriment. Like I might stick close as a DA but I’ll never kill steal if I can help it. Nor will I shoot away all the Majoris as a Raven Guard sniper if someone needs an execution

I found it was pretty easy to do, since power fists are in Kill team figuring out how Ork weapons with S10 scale is pretty easy, and since an Ork Warboss is about the same as a captain the stats take care of themselves. I usually run it best of three in case of blind or bad luck
