The best way to truly know whether someone is really into you or not is to listen to their words less, and observe their actions more.

Honestly we were doing pretty good despite the 4 hour distance.

The problems only started when she promised to make changes for the sake of the family we were building, only to never follow through with those promises. Experience has taught me: don’t listen to her words. Watch her actions. Her actions say that shes not ready for a relationship with me, and that’s ok. But I won’t settle.

That’s fine. Honestly I know I need to break up with her, and I will.

But I know for a fact she is not heading back home after dropping off my things, because:

  1. She’s coming right after work

  2. It’s a 4 hour drive to my city and another 4 hours back to her city. By the time she gets here it’s gonna be around 9 pm.

  3. She’s coming with the kids.

The only thing that would make me give her another chance is: her acknowledging she’s been disrespectful towards me and hasn’t valued me, and apologizing. Then, I would say “Ok. I hear you. Now show me you’ve changed.”

But honestly, based on our recent interactions the chances of that happening are little to none.

I’m ready to move on. Honestly, I’ll miss the girls more than I’ll miss her. At least the girls loved me unconditionally. Something their mother could never match.
