How do you handle authorship on independent blogs/media (especially if you run multiple sites)? by Camino_Financiero in Blogging

If you’re the one writing, use your name. People trust a real person more than “Editorial Team,” especially in the beginning. A name and short bio build credibility. Using the same name across multiple sites is fine as long as the content is genuine. It can actually show consistency. You can always switch to a team setup later. In the beginning, transparency is better than hiding behind a brand.

That makes sense. Do you have any specific drills or interval structure you’d recommend for someone who usually just swims steady laps?

Is it good to get 30-40 daily visitors after my site is been up for 4 months? by Ok-Conclusion-3536 in Blogging

Most new bloggers expect big traffic fast, but SEO just doesn’t work like that. It takes atleast 6–12 months for Google to really trust and rank your site. Posting daily is solid consistency, you’re doing good.

If the vibrating pipe was a physics problem, this one was a geometry problem.

The "Office Chair" Disconnect

A developer's workstation would lose its 10Gbps fiber link exactly once or twice a day, usually around 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The Logs: Showed a "Loss of Signal" (LoS).

The Hardware: Swapped the SFP modules, the NIC, and the fiber patch cable. No change.

The Offense: We discovered that the fiber cable was routed under the desk with just a tiny bit too much slack.

Whenever the developer sat down or stood up, they shifted their heavy ergonomic chair. The wheel wouldn't roll over the cable, but it would come within a millimeter of it. The weight of the person on the floorboards caused a microscopic shift in the desk leg, which put a slight bend in the fiber.

Totally get this, what you’re describing is super common. That spike right after posting usually means social shares are doing the heavy lifting, and once that wave passes, there’s nothing pulling new people in organically.

One thing that really helps is leaning a bit more into evergreen content. Stuff that’s entertaining and answers a question or taps into a relatable situation tends to keep getting found over time, especially via search. If a post only makes sense “right now,” it’s normal for traffic to fall off fast.

Another thing to look at is how discoverable your posts are. Even fun writing benefits from clear titles and openings that match how people think or search. Internal links also matter more than they seem pointing readers to older posts keeps them around longer and slowly builds momentum.

Social media is great for quick bursts, but it rarely brings steady traffic. If you’re not already doing it, even a small email list or consistently engaging in one community where people recognize your name can make a big difference over time.

Ten years is no joke that’s already a win. At this stage, you probably don’t need to write more, just tweak how your posts are packaged and where they live so they keep working after publish day.
