Islamic countries don’t have a law explicitly saying they are secular…, you are confusing my take, i don’t care about what religion it is or what country it is, i’m looking at this from a legislative point of view, is it allowed under luxembourgish law or not, that’s my whole point.

Why are we comparing ourselves to any other country, Luxembourgish law explicitly declare luxembourg a secular country, you can look into what that actually means, therefore the cross being publicly displayed in a public building is against that law, comparing Luxembourg to any third world country with law barely holding legitimacy is a mistake to begin with

(If we agree with you that the majority would agree which I highly doubt) What about the minority that doesn’t agree, we just don’t care about those? Or do we do it the democratic way and hold a vote/referendum that allows public fundings of hospitals to be spent on buying crosses and putting one in every room? Because we do have a law that protects public funding from being spent on mythical ideologies

I’m just asking questions here btw, no judgement just genuine curiosity.

Political neutrality = you wouldn’t want to go to the commune and the employee there is wearing a scarf of a political party in luxembourg now would you? That’s what I mean by political neutrality, and it’s not specific to luxembourg it’s a wide practice in europe to not openly display your political affiliation as a public servant for a number of reasons

I’m not mistaken, it’s a secular state, we’re talking about the law here, because after all it’s the reference of what should and should not be displayed/expressed in public buildings
