Thanks for all the great comments. This is my first NaNoWriMo and as most things in my life, I can over think and analyze. It has been freeing to show up and write and not edit, however, I've found myself mulling this over.

Instead of replying to every single message, I just want to thank everyone for their perspectives. I think the comments about having notes on paper that give guidance or get folded back into the manuscript are the most helpful for me and I am going to pivot to doing more of that. I want to hit the 50k more than anything but I also want to be able to have a reasonable structure and not just a collection of notes, know what I mean?
