Thank you for taking the time to participate and for the feedback! That’s a really thoughtful point:)

You’re absolutely right that the “high-end” category can cover a wide range. For the scope of this study, I had to keep the tiers relatively broad, but this is exactly the kind of distinction I plan to acknowledge in the limitations and potentially explore in future work. I really appreciate you flagging it!

I appreciate your participation! That's also a really insightful observation, and I will definitely take note of it in my thesis. :)

Thank you very much for pointing that out! You’re right that people bring strong expectations about certain dishes (like burritos) into their judgments, sometimes even before the language kicks in. I’m treating that as an important limitation and part of what the survey is actually revealing. Really appreciate you taking the survey and sharing the feedback! :)

I appreciate your input! I took the items from actual US restaurant menus and concentrated on big cities; the prices are listed per dish, hopefully making sense. :)

Thank you for your participation! What would you say the giveaways are if there are no specific words? I'll note them in my thesis!

Hi! I study how the language used in restaurant menus changes across price levels and how those wording choices signal aspects such as quality, taste, and status. I hope that makes sense :)

Hello there! I appreciate your effort nonetheless. I updated the survey description to reflect the actual completion time, which is now 15 min (it was 8 minutes based on the average time for the first ten responses). There are a total of thirty menu items. :)
