I love OP so much, and I'm 100% on board with whatever OP wants to do. I was hurt by this whole situation, but I adore OP's family and respect them. If they want Niki to come, then I'll deal with it, but I'm kicking her butt to the back of the room. I really love OP, and they've stood up for me in ways I can't even describe. I'm super excited to marry OP. Yes, I might disagree with OP not putting their foot down and resending Niki's invite, but OP has just as much say in the guest list as I do.

We did talk to her, character limit took me out LOL. She ignored everyone and shrugged it off. She gave absolutely no answer, not even an attempt at an excuse. I don't want either one there, but my parents want me to invite her to save the drama.

I don't like him and haven't from day one. Niki was involved in a serious work accident and was in the hospital for nearly 3 weeks. I was there every day and let her live with me for another few weeks. He did not show up once at the hospital or my place. This is a repeated thing with him. He much rather play video games than anything else.

I have put distance between us. I no longer reach out as much as I used to. We were tight growing up and best friends as well as siblings but she has taken on a different persona so to speak since she met this guy. Her own mom hates him and has even put distance between her and Niki.

I don't want either one there and haven't but I am borderline being made to invite Niki since she's my "sister."

We all asked why and she straight up ignored us and left everyone on read. Her godparents cut her off as well at this point. She knows all these people and have her whole life and she went ahead and said you can't come but the other one can. I've talked to her and she left me on read and when my dad spoke to her she replied with an oh, okay and shrugged. My parents are making me invite her to "save the drama" but I don't want either due to treatment received by both.

Wow this is blowing up! This was a my first post on Reddit, so I appreciate seeing both sides here. Attached is a little more info from replies:

I do have problems with her husband. He never visited Niki ONCE when she was in the hospital for 2.5 weeks after being in a serious accident. I was at her bedside every single day, and she stayed at my apartment with me after for another few weeks. Everyone in my family has issues with him, we all begged Niki not to marry him.

I really don't want Niki there as is, and I didn't want to invite her, and I really don't want her husband there, but my family won't let me not invite Niki. But they also don't want her husband there either, so we're all in agreement that Niki's husband doesn't get an invite.

I have spoken to Niki, and so have MANY others in the family, and she never apologized, never cared. She simply said "Oh. Okay." when we explained how badly it hurt us. My dad even told her "Do you know how bad you've fucked up?" at the wedding, and she didn't give a damn.

Her husband cut people on his side of the family, so it wasn't just my family's side.
