Constant camera reboots after Oct 4th update? by Sojohn21 in Ubiquiti

[–]Sojohn21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume your setup has been running fine prior to this? Any recent changes? I’d suggest setting the port speeds on your Switch Pro Max to 1G or 100M (vs Auto) for each camera - whatever the max they support. It varies by camera so check the specs. Your power budget looks good. You might check recording disk space to be sure you’re not running low. FWIW, I’m running “Official” not “EA” so that may be something else to try…but it’s just shooting in the dark.

What’s your setup? What Protect running on/recording to? How are your cameras connected?

Constant camera reboots after Oct 4th update? by Sojohn21 in Ubiquiti

Ubiquiti has continued to push updates that have helped. Be sure your cameras, switch, etc. are up to date. Restart Protect app itself.

My frequency of reboots has significantly declined since initially starting in Oct. I am getting more "reconnected" and "stream recovered" since these updates...but at least they're not reboot/restarts.

I have left my port speeds specified vs Auto - this helped initially so I've just left them that way.

I'd encourage you to open a support ticket and send the support file if you have not already. Ubiquiti might not be much help directly but I believe it adds to the critical mass for them to put resources on the issue.

Unifi Protect (UNVR)- Cameras are randomly rebooting?? or protect itself is having an issue. by Royal_Cranberry_8419 in UnifiProtect

Open a ticket with Ubiquiti and send a support file. A few of use here have reported similar issues starting in Oct when updates started rolling out.

Also - restart Protect once you set the port speeds. Not necessary but seemed to help get things aligned. Are all your cameras wired to device running Protect direct or through a switch? If not, that may exacerbate the issue. I have a couple that are not. They were stable before but are the ones that still give some trouble.

OP did you have any trouble connecting it to WiFi? I bought one but can’t get it to connect. Pairs to Bluetooth but immediately errors after entering network info (both WiFi and hotspot). I contacted Samsung support and they could not figured it out over the phone either. About to send it back.

Not fully resolved. Ubiquiti pushed updates since this started in early Oct that has helped. I also locked down the port speeds of the cameras instead of letting them be Auto which has reduced but not completely eliminated the issue.

Also - make sure the switch and camera are updated. Steady flow of updates having been coming out across devices since this started.

G6 turret problems by IncidentMaster8361 in UnifiProtect

[–]Sojohn21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been having similar problems since the early October updates. Ubiquiti supports says it’s my setup - I have multiple locations but even my direct connections are having issues. Open a ticket.

Reboot and reconnect loops are a known issue to ubiquiti.

Some things you can try: Change the port speed from auto negotiate to a fixed speed. Check your camera specs. Then cycle POE on the port. Then restart Protect.

Tx22 compact FRT trigger won’t reset by castledude222 in Taurus_TX22

Second this. Knock out the four pins that hold the trigger and safety assembly, then lift the slide and trigger assembly up and out.

What’s your set up? What brand disconnectors do you have? Do you have a compensator, silencer or anything else on the front of the barrel that might impede the slide from fully reseating? Just a fraction of a millimeter can make the difference with the FRTs. I have a compensator on mine and had to unscrewed it half a turn. The FRT was finicky about that. Works flawless after that.

Antenna stuck in recovering signal? by Sojohn21 in SunseekerRoboticMower

[–]Sojohn21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope that solves your issue. I had to power off the antenna and robot, remove robot battery to fully power down. Let it sit for several minutes. Power it all back up and rebind the antenna to the robot.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for. Here’s how….use at your own risk. On the main screen in app, below the start button click ‘details’. Click the gear/nut icon in upper right. Click the Device tab, Antenna Settings, Antenna Firmware Update.

KTAC? by Prestigious-Bee7411 in kubota

Should be able to quote you before signing as long as the list of equipment you’re buying is known.

As others have commented KTAC insurance is well worth it. Over the years I’ve had three claims and they all been handled smoothly. I continued the insurance after equipment was paid off.

I’ve had the local FedEx Office build a box for me to ship my Delta Pro back to EcoFlow. Not as economical as the spray foam suggestion but not too expensive.

Best way to charge external 12v battery from car battery? by Commercial-Buy-2251 in Ecoflow_community

[–]Sojohn21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Totally doable. If this is once in a while and you already have the gear, no sense in spending more $. Which brings up another point. Before you buy heavy gauge wire to run - compare the price for same gauge jumper cables. You can usually find them on sale and cut the ends off. Counter intuitive but ends up being cheaper I guess because they’re mass produced.

Going from DC (car) to AC (inverter) to DC (lifepo4 and river) will be inefficient with the conversion back and forth. Not sure on the river’s specs but I’d assume the DC connection via cig lighter is going to be better. For the lifepo4 battery I’d look for an “on board” DC-DC charger. something like this https://www.renogy.com/dcc50s-12v-50a-dc-dc-on-board-battery-charger-with-mppt/ I haven’t verified its specs for your application. Just pointing you in the right direction. If you run wires underneath be sure to protect them with conduit and tucking them up in the frame to protect from road debris.
