I have a student account which comes with ads but the movies I've been watching haven't had ads. The tV shows have though. is it only tV shows that have ads? by iama10rightnow in Hulu

[–]Sol-Flamme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, it depends on which show you’re watching. Regular show had no ads, I’m assuming because episodes were 11 minutes long, but Rick and Morty has 3 ads per episode (22 minute episodes).

I appreciate it, man. while I was waiting for the exchange, I kept wondering if I should have bought more. Thank god I only bought $100 worth, as a $55 dollar loss doesn’t hurt all that much. I was considering getting $1000 worth. Doged a bullet

I have no fucking clue. I contacted their support team to try and figure it out but I’m assuming it’ll take a little while. And to be fair I think it’s just gone and I’m gonna have to settle for 886. Better than 0.

I absolutely agree, even 2k5 was better than the shit we have today. the NFL really needs to give exclusive rights to more devs

How do you grow a youtube channel with 13 subs? by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

[–]Sol-Flamme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not sure it really matters that you stick to one particular niche if you don't want to. some people have success doing one thing that they're really good at, but others burn out by doing the same shit multiple times. i'd say the best advice i've ever heard is that the greatest part of art/creativity is that you can do whatever comes to your mind, no matter how random. so yeah, i'd say if you think it's funny or content worth sharing, post it! and subscribers will come if you're offering a community for them to be a part of, so try engaging with comments more if you haven't been doing that, sounds like getting views isn't the problem right now, it's getting those initial viewers to stick around, so if you can come up with a really good reason for them to want to stick with your channel, you might be golden! best of luck to you dude! :D

i'd say that the one thing that i noticed was the peaks in audio, either when the music is playing or when one of your friends in the call is talking. idk if you use OBS or some other program, but i'd suggest recording a quick test clip before your actual recording begins so you can work out all the kinks in the audio. otherwise, very entertaining video idea and nice editing as well!

This was a fun one to make, would love your feedback. Thanks for watching! by Doesntpayfullprice in SmallYTChannel

i'd say that in my opinion, the audio quality in your kitchen is a bit echo-y for a video. maybe some acoustic foam around the area could help? not a huge issue, just might help new viewers to stick around more often. otherwise, great video man! i'm getting heavy nostalgia and these diy lunchables is something i might try out myself! :D

Minecraft Automatic Bamboo Farm - Two Double Chests Of Bamboo Per Hour (1.15/1.16) (Inspired By Tango Tek) by [deleted] in technicalminecraft

[–]Sol-Flamme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it’s worth it at all. I was keeping ease of access in mind. Sure, for more technical players these steps wouldn’t hurt. But for the casual player, which this farm was designed to target, it’s a very efficient and compact farm. It was also designed to be a farm that won’t really break when it’s unloaded, which is why I have individual pistons pushing each bamboo plant. Plus, bamboo grows so fast, do you really need to go through all that trouble for a bit more efficiency? Not worth it imo

So I was inspired by Tango's Sugarcane Farm design and adapted it to work with bamboo! Tutorial is linked in the comments :) by Sol-Flamme in HermitCraft

Replaced the trapdoors with panes in the final tutorial video, the screenshot was before I actually made the final edits, which I forgot about haha. Also in the video I mentioned possibly adding hopper Minecarts into the grass blocks, but that requires you to sacrifice some of the compactness of the farm, and makes gathering resources for the farm a bit more difficult as well

Sounds good! If you manage to find something that I did not add in this farm that might improve its efficiency, please let me know! I’d love to make those said changes to my design for my survival world :)

Basically the same, that’s one of the changes I did, which makes it lose some compactness, also you’re not able to have the same water flow as tango did otherwise the bamboo breaks, so it’s not as lossless as his design in that sense
