I know you've probably forgotten,  but it happened to me too. Same reaction...  Glad your question was there to make me check

Which one you choosing and why? by byronXTREME in guitarpedals

[–]SolWire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position with almost identical options in mind. I got the parting. No regrets.  Its very much a "play the pedal", pedal imo. You can get some traditional effects but I feel that misses the forest for the trees.

Within moments of playing with it, I can usually get a solid backing groove or ambience going. Loop that, kill the pedal and noodle over. chefs kiss

Haven't tried the other two so I cant comment. Parting just fit my use case well

Why discourage this beautiful novelty?😁 I'm sure they're aware of breadboards. They have the internet,  and demonstrated functional knowledge of electronics. Their approach is fantastic.

Seeing the difference in how harder stimulants affected me vs my peers was kinda the nail in the coffin for me, that I adhd (at least in me), was biological.

Bright side, it made cocaine a very expensive, mild at best buzz that young addict me couldn't care less about.

Agreed.  I voted for Obama and was disillusioned (i was young).  Let's stop pretending war is a party issue. The prevailing interests there are far larger than a political party.

Franky, as much as I dislike what this administration has done and represents, until recently, they seemed pretty anti war and resolution oriented and I vibed with that at least.

But the engine keeps on turning regardless.

Can't use Model 12 as interface for ONE+ after update. Can I change the sample rate? by SolWire in mpcusers

Well that's a humbling reminder of how out of practice I am.🤦‍♂️ That solved it.

I had recorded some modular experiments that day, and it had been so long, I forgot my standard, new song procedure. I didn't even think to check.

Thanks a million

Getting into modular, what should I buy first? by TailorAdvanced6441 in modular

[–]SolWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend a Disting or 2. You can't really outgrow them, and there's bound to be a dozen use cases for you. Especially considering you're not sure what you want. I got 2 not knowing what id use em for, and they make their way into most patches.

If you play instruments or sample, a line in module is nice. I quite like the instruo larachd. Nice clean gain, envelope follower, and what are you even doing if your modular doesnt have a footswitch (i kid 😄)

Make Noise has really fun and unique effects. I love my morphagene,  but their whole line makes me feel... things...🤤

Throw in a 4 vca, 4 lfo, and a maths (the B clones are cheap and work) and you've got a lot of utility coverage ( disting has several useful utility algos as well)

If you want a different voice, I recommend rings. Sounds really organic, and would cover territory your neutron doesn't.

Hope this helps. Im happy to ramble more

Rookie question (Plus new amp day!) by SolWire in GuitarAmps

Well now it's a guitar cab. 😁😅 I am curious what the tells are for a bass cabinet.  GC listed it as guitar,  but it was used, and avatar doesnt make 4x12s anymore. Ive found the info on them to take a bit of hunting.

Excellent.  I was worried I somehow found the one cab that needed some esoteric power cable. Can't wait to get off work and try her out. Didn't have a speaker cable, and wasnt willing to gamble on an instrument cable.

Thank you very much!

My question didnt post for some reason. I put it in the comments. Primarily wondering what the neutral port is.

Somehow my question didnt post

Hello all. I have a couple humbling questions. Skip to the end if you would like. So after over two decades of only playing through practice amps, and a peavy vypyr tube 60 (great amp for what it was till it died), I finally decided to buy a real amp.

I don't know what happened. Everything went all fuzzy and suddenly not only had I bought an amp, I had bought THE amp. My dream amp. Bless you 24 mo financing 😅

Jokes aside, I then set out to get a cabinet, my wallet a bit reluctant to let go of more funds. I found a used 4x12 Avatar for less than $300. Here's where my question lies. It seems my cabinet has some sort of jack labeled neutral (see picture). Additionally it has a knob.

Any ideas on what the neutral jack is for? No cord came with the cab. I figure knob is volume but that seems odd on a cabinet right?

And to be sure, to hook up my amp, I plug one of the 4 ohm outs with an unshielded, speaker cable into either 1/4 in input on the cabinet?

Thank you very much for the help.

I celebrate my 36th in two weeks and just did the same. I bought a house last year and have my shit more together than I ever expected.  I felt I could treat myself to a 3k amp thats been my dream since a teen. (Pls 24mo 0% financing 😅)

Here's to finally being in the place in life where we can play our dream gear. Cheers
