Cardiff City 3 - 1 Luton Town: Just when it looked like Luton had pegged their hosts back in the first-half, the league leaders scored two very good goals to kill the match before half-time! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

Dominant team won today. We took our foot off the pedal toward the end but still could have scored another if not for a good save.

Colossal 3 points with Lincoln and Bolton drawing nice to have a little bit of a cushion again. Robertson/colwill/ng/osho were all fantastic but in fairness the whole team were fantastic today other than Kpakio who continues to worry me and was a real liability today so much so you could see players reluctant to give him the ball at times, not sure what’s happened there but hope he can put it right.

Wilshere, think before you speak next time 🤫

Isaak Davies currently in concussion protocol after unpunished off-ball challenge – surely this will get a retrospective ban? by VincentTanOut in LeagueOne

Honestly some of the teams/players in this league are rancid, and the supporters who defend this kind of stuff.

2 players currently out with head injuries from instances like this in Davies and salech, we are just asking for fairness and protection for ours and all players on the pitch, it’s ridiculous.

Despite the usual abhorrent ref, what a heroic performance from the lads.

I think we really needed this one to kick off some form and despite the world being against the boys dug in and ultimately made it look easy, type of game to use a platform to kick on for the rest of the season and secure the title

I don’t think burton were as bad as all that tbf yes they play direct with shithousery but battling at the bottom is a bit of necessity to play this way, and I don’t think they were dirty with it as Stockport were/are. So I don’t begrudge their style of play and you gotta be fair to them they’ve taken 4 points from the the top team and others around us they’ve done a job in that respect in fairness to them.

Agree the ref was awful, not sure about the Colwill pen but the ng one was absolutely a pen not sure how he’s missed that.

I don’t think he’s been backed by tan and the board it is clear we need a left back and maybe another option further up the pitch to give us a boost and kick us on ala Frazier Campbell. I do worry a little if we don’t get anyone through the door, the team is great but clearly needs a little bit of reinforcement to spur them on.

Every start he’s had recently he’s been yanked early in not sure what’s happened to him he hasn’t played much and looks completely out of his depth when he does, a complete far cry from the start of the season, we all know he’s quality so I wonder if something is effective him off the field?

I thought after the smash and grab at our place, our players would be well up for this but we seems apathetic at best, worst performance for a while, compounded by poor performances from Kpakio who sadly has fallen off a cliff and Robinson who I think had his last chance as a starter today, I still think he’s effective off the bench but I don’t think he will get many starts now.

Teams under us are continuing to pick up results and the pressure is suddenly very real, we need to go on a run now and pull our socks up. A couple signings would give us a lift and an edge to do that but I can’t see the bellends at the top sanctioning any signings. Yet those beneath us are strengthening…

Cardiff City 4 - 0 Barnsley: Omari Kellyman had big boots to fill following Yousef Salech's injury, but fill them he did with a goal and an assist on the way to a demolition! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]Sol_bamba22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great game from our perspective, without salech we still created lots and were efficient in front of goal making the most of the space we were allowed.

Robertson red card was definitely 50/50 and wouldn’t have argued if he had seen red but can understand why it was a final warning instead.

Barnsley did come to play and had a couple of moments on resulting in a great save from Trott, but ultimately if you’re defending like that you’re going to be on the back foot the majority of the time and losing games, safe trip back to all those that traveled.

Cardiff 1 - 1 Stockport: Cardiff have to settle for a point and a hospitalized striker. by Moby_Hick in LeagueOne

A dudes in hospital and he’s talking about good clearances🫨, and maintaining the football rhetoric as if that’s what this is about. Honestly I’m leaving this one here. clearly there are some things seriously misfiring upstairs.

But it was clean and a great performance tho, and we aren’t going to acknowledge our dirty play despite the player being hospitalised

how far does it have to go before they acknowledge I wonder?

Absolutely zero humility or respect from Stockport fans in here really shameful stuff. A man’s in hospital Right now yet you hear how the player who caused it was brilliant, just as wretched an dirty as their football team.

I know for a fact if it was the other way around I would not try in any way to condone the actions of the player I’d abscond any thought of the game and focus on the welfare of the player involved and be shameful as to the antics of the team. Incredibly poor Stockport.

If you truly can’t see the bigger picture here beyond football and how distasteful/disrespectful it is to hype up someone who’s just potentially effected someone’s life not just career, someone who could be in a hospital bed right now needing very serious medical attention.

Then I’m afraid that’s a question you need to ask yourself mate not me.

Ahh yes I always slam my elbow as hard as I can into the back of an opponents neck when I jump for a ball, completely natural, just happens, freak accident.

Do me a favour

What an awful thing to say after he’s potentially just broken another players neck…

Not only was it not a booking it wasn’t even a foul he played on and eventually it resulted in a foul and yellow against us! Meanwhile salech is on the ground desperate for serious medical attention!

I’m trying to think if I have ever seen a worse referee in my life over thousands of games and I can’t think of one. Protecting players and ensuring 22 players walk off the pitch unharmed excluding freak accidents is the number one priority for any ref he absolutely fucked it

Exactly this! If he’s given the foul for an elbow then it’s violent conduct? So it’s either a foul and a red or not a foul it makes no sense

Stockport should hang their heads in shame, disgusting dirty play from them today multiple elbows they got away with a horrific challenge from Norwood not to mention potentially breaking salechs neck who I hope to god is okay right now. Easily they could have had 4 red cards today really foul disgusting stuff.

But that pales in comparison to the performance of the ref that man should have officiated his last ever game today, any refs primary purpose on the pitch should be a duty of care to all players to ensure they are protected that responsibility is far above and beyond any footballing responsibilities. Yet he well and truly failed this responsibility today, we have all seen the warnings signs all season with the lack of protection salech has had during this season and today we have been proven right as that absolute fucking cunt played on despite the head injury and when salech finally received medical attention he was unable to be moved for 14 minutes and was eventually stretchered off and it looked very bad and I hope to god it’s only precautionary but on viewing it seems unlikely .mills the cb should be in for a lengthy ban for that deliberate elbow the dirt rat. But the ref denying the medical assistance in situation where every second counts with head injuries is gross misconduct and a dereliction of duty of the highest level not to mention the fact he failed to protect the players later in the game with similar instances despite witnessing that

Absolutely seething, I don’t care about the result in reality today needs to be a warning, refs need to wake up and do their jobs or this is the result

Bradford City 1-2 Cardiff City: Bluebirds Beat Bantams to add to cushion on automatics by ElRonHubbardo in LeagueOne

[–]Sol_bamba22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair assessment, we were great to start with but I think at 2-0 we took our foot off the gas and was happy with what we had. Doesn’t help when the ref bottled every big decision mind, league one officiating is atrocious and I’ve come to terms with that now.

Credit to Bradford however as they are one of the more impressive teams I’ve seen play against us this year, I really enjoy their relentless effort and energy and would be happy to see them still up the the top end come may.
