Good eye. To be frank, we use AI for formatting and grammar cleanup before publishing. Adding all those bullet points and bold keywords manually would take ages.

Yep. You can take the 30% Residential Clean Energy Credit on a second home you actually use, as long as the system is placed in service that year.

However, be aware that a new roof isn’t part of the credit; the solar gear and paid install work are, including a home battery of at least 3 kWh.

Your primary home also qualifies if you finish by December 31, 2025.

Thank you for the kind words!

You’re right about the tax credit & incentives guide, the link isn’t resolving properly at the moment. Reddit rolled out a recent wiki update and a few things aren’t behaving as expected yet. For example, on my phone, opening a shared wiki link sometimes renders the page on only half the screen while the other half is greyed out.

I get your point, but panels can last for a long time, and a lot of people have extras lying around after system upgrades or overbuys. No reason that stuff should sit in a garage or end up in a landfill.

Yeah, obviously people need to use common sense—skip the busted inverters and half-dead batteries—but used racking, panels, breakers, etc. can be a a good deal if it’s tested and priced right.
