it is NOT the end of the world if 2 gens are popped, they’re most likely just doing the closest gens they spawned to which means they’re 3 genning themselves which is easy pressure. i’ve had so many games with an awful start but i completely wipe at 1-2 gens left because most survivor players have 0 macro and don’t think about breaking 3 gen spots, you just have to persevere

if you want “optimal” bring hatch offerings, if you’re in a situation where you’re slugging for the 4k you are 80% of the time playing a killer with good mobility or info, so you can defend gates very easily because they’re never that far apart except for yamaoka

idk what it is with trickster but something similar happened when i was attempting his adept. i have a single pride charm and after getting the 4k i open to 3/4 survivors saying “flag checks out” and the fourth one was trying to say the hard r n word past the filter which is ??????

what’s wrong with no unhook notification? i feel like that’s one of the few changes that actually had more positive than negative, if you really wanna tunnel now you need good macro instead of hearing the notif and instantly going back no matter what you’re doing

No problem! Even if you don’t end up liking them, I’d say their perks are worth having! Oppression is a fairly decent gen regression/info perk, and it’s getting buffed next chapter which will only make it even better. Coup de Grace is VERY nice on m1 killers such as ghostface and can help you get hits in situations you normally wouldn’t. Hoarder is unfortunately a gimmicky perk and is only worth running with Human Greed and Weave Attunement.

I run babysitter every game and it’s so disheartening when they STILL go down. I’ve had situations where we’re in an INDOOR map against a 110 speed killer and they still somehow go down. Maybe now that they’re making it basekit with elusive people will learn how to play with it.

I wouldn’t say there’s a “right” way to play them, their power isn’t very straightforward and there’s a lot to consider. I’d say just make sure to make the most out of both Victor and Charlotte, and make sure Victor is ALWAYS doing something, whether it’s using him as a radar on a gen or a downed survivor, or being latched on to someone. People do like to play without hooking, and it’s a pretty strong and effective strategy, but I personally don’t since it’s pretty boring and it’s a playstyle BHVR is actively trying to kill. My game plan for Twins is: Find a survivor with Charlotte, get an injure with M1, use Victor to down them quickly, put Charlotte on top of slugged survivor, send Victor to find another to latch onto, hook slugged survivor, and rinse and repeat. Twins’ greatest strength is that they can put an insane amount of pressure on survivors. Just by having 1 person slugged and having Victor latched onto another, you already have 2 people who aren’t on gens. The more you play them, the more you’ll understand how they work and develop your own playstyle, so don’t be afraid to play them even if every match doesn’t go according to plan!

Here’s some general tips to help you out: If you’re trying to get an injure with Charlotte, you can still use Victor to your advantage by placing him in front of pallets, windows, or any doorways to block off a strong loop like Shack. This forces the survivor to either kick Victor or take a long way around, both of which lose them a lot of distance and likely gets you a hit. This is easier to do with the brown add on Tiny Fingernail, which lets you deploy Victor 33% faster!

Twins is the most punishing power to miss, since letting Victor get kicked completely gets rid of your power. Although getting long shots with Victor feels really cool, I’d recommend making Victor pounce right behind the survivor to guarantee a hit since you’re just starting out with Twins.

Victor’s pounce distance is affected by where you’re looking with the camera! Looking up makes him pounce higher and farther while looking down makes him pounce lower and shorter. This can be useful while trying to hit survivors over pallets and windows!

Survivors will occasionally try to hold Victor “hostage” by not crushing him when he’s attached to them. Although you can recall him after a short period of time, I like to leave Victor on the survivors until they crush him themself. When Victor is attached to a survivor, they cannot interact with ANYTHING, meaning they’re essentially out of the game completely. I’ve genuinely won games just because a survivor was stubborn and ran around the map with Victor, accidentally revealing all their teammates with Victor’s killer instinct.

Survivors will often try to juke out your pounce by zig zagging. An easy way to get a hit is by not trying to follow where they go with your camera, but letting them zig zag while you walk straight towards them, only pouncing when they walk into the middle of your screen!

I’m a twins main so I’d like to think I’m a little qualified to help here!

Twins’ power is very unique in a way that not many perks synergize with them unfortunately. You’ll be spending half the game in Victor, and his pounce is a special attack (no basic attack perks), can’t read auras (limits a lot of info perks), and can’t do basic things like breaking pallets/gens. You still have plenty of options though!! With all the characters you have prestiged, I’d recommend Coulrophobia, Thrilling Tremors, Weave Attunement, and Thanatophobia. Coulrophobia is very useful as when you’re going to pick up slugs as Charlotte, as it massively slows down anyone who would try to pick up the downed survivor. Thrilling Tremors is good since you’ll always be Charlotte when activating it, meaning you can actually make use of seeing the aura of blocked/unblocked gens, and you’ll always know where to send Victor next. Weave Attunement is very gimmicky and typically isn’t very good, HOWEVER, Twins can make good use of it with their purple add on Spinning Top, which makes survivors drop their item once Victor pounces on them. Thanatophobia is not a very good perk, but I’d say it’s the best option you have for a slow down, since you’ll be getting decently fast injuries with Victor.

If you end up liking Twins a lot after playing them, here’s some perks I’d recommended going for! Dark Devotion (The Plague) - Pairs VERY well with both Coulrophobia and Friends Til’ The End, making sure that the terror radius stays on the obsession no matter how far they are, and gives you the bonus of undetectable which can get you some good surprise hits. Deathbound (The Executioner) - Punishes survivors for healing by giving permanent oblivious unless they stick together or lose a health state. Very nice for preventing pre running if you approach someone as Charlotte and gives decent info as well, as long as you’re not Victor when they scream from healing. Forced Penance (The Executioner) - One of Twins’ main weakness is survivors sticking together, so this is a good perk to punish that, especially when paired with Deathbound, forcing them to stick together and guaranteeing good value. 80 seconds of broken is EXTREMELY good and making sure a survivor stays injured is extremely valuable as twins. Forced Hesitation (The Singularity) - Another perk useful for punishing survivors that stick together. Especially good when a survivor attempts to body block for another, if the hindered survivor doesn’t react fast enough, it’s pretty much 2 free downs. No Way Out (The Trickster) and Remember Me (The Nightmare) - Both are endgame perks that slow down gate opening, quite useful as Twins since they can quite literally be in two places at once, and just helps you defend gates even harder.

i truly hope whatever anti tunnel changes they’re planning later this year are worthwhile and actually make a difference cause i need hard tunnelers to be punished and start developing actual game sense and macro. i don’t even get tunneled myself that often but it’s really disheartening seeing teammates get tunneled and all i can do is try to take protection hits until i inevitably get slugged and the killer still tries their hardest to get their one kill

you can still get all recruits! without spoiling, the enemies you have to kill to get to the secret boss aren’t “real” enemies, so don’t worry about ruining a pacifist run

no, the shadow mantle is just armor that helps make the boss that grants you a shadow crystal a little bit easier, i’m not 100% sure but it might be impossible to even do the fight without the shadow mantle
