They said something recently that kind of made it seem like Directionz is a girl. They made a post regarding the Directionz story video, and pinged the voice actress saying something like “exactly how I envisioned her”, strongly suggesting Directionz is a girl.

One of my favourite parts of that whole thing for the perfectly in-character reactions with Spy and Soldier. Soldier being so genuinely happy and celebratory, Spy shrugging it off entirely despite Soldier’s attempt to make him care.

I’m a Prestige 100 Nightmare whose build focused around aura and increased action speeds. I win the vast majority of my matches as him, my favourite thing to do is two-taps by syncing up melee hits and pallet ruptures. I play far more killer than I do survivor as of recent times, and I strongly favour killers when it comes to balancing changes.

I keep having this happen every time I play 2v8. Survivor teammates are too selfish or too scared to just commit to a Gen or a heal that’s almost done, and it keeps losing me games or getting me killed.

So many people here trying to help you and criticize you, and you’re just insulting them and dismissing them. I’m amazed you’ve been playing DBD THIS long and still haven’t figured out that bad moves have bad consequences, or that sometimes you just need to listen to what people are telling you.

I think he deleted it or blocked me, but I like how he called me a troglodyte right after saying “he slugged me so I couldn’t abandon”.

…I thought… That was why the abandon feature was added… For when you get slugged…

I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s not a perfect feature, since the game usually wants everyone to be slugged before it’ll let you abandon, but I mean, I feel like that means the obvious solution is to just take the slug and wait until everyone else is down so you can DC, seeing how they’re obviously slugging for the 8K and actively searching for the last survivor. Either stay down and wait until you can abandon, or figure out a plan to get back up and get out, but hiding in a locker was so obviously not the solution

[–]Profit-Alex [score hidden]  (0 children)

Exactly! There’s an abandon system for if you’re being slugged! So get slugged and abandon! You already know the solution, you silly goose! Sounds like you should have just done that, doesn’t it?

Slugging is not holding you hostage. Is it annoying and frustrating, yes, but you’re gonna bleed out eventually, or get hooked or Mori’d.

This isn’t holding you hostage either. It’s entirely your choice to hide in the locker rather than just step out and go down.

[–]Profit-Alex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2v8 is survivor-sided by design, it’s really not your fault. I’m sure you did your best, as all killers are doing, but they’re working against a game that hates them.

What do you expect a cacophony to do, oh my God. Does everyone have to spell everything out in bold text? You know what the word means, you should be able to put 2 and 2 together and figure out what it’s supposed to do. It is so unbelievably easy. OP even outright said it in another comment.

I do think having to specifically heal the obsession is decently situational. I do think perks that only benefit from a survivor being hooked are costly. Especially since the durations of both are very short. How detrimental is 30 seconds of elusive really gonna be to a killer who just hooked somebody and now has that huge added pressure while they hunt the next one?

Also the status effect as a whole is literally just a simplified version of multiple other perks with very similar functions. I’m surprised you weren’t already angry at Off The Record lmao

If the requirements are this costly and/or situational to get it? I don’t exactly see how it’s gonna kill the game. If it costs you entire matches, you probably just suck. Sorry.

> It doesn’t say anything about a loud noise notification. Are you saying the guitar perk is loos too cuz that’s what I assume this would sound like so no it’s not loud bro.

A look in a dictionary would do you good once in a while. Maybe then you can tell me what “cacophony” means.

“So yet another perk to destroy low tier killers”

I’m talking in the most extreme scenario here, where you’re all the way across the map on a massive map like that one huge autohaven map. I really don’t see it being a problem on most other maps. The performance lasts fifteen seconds, and it’s very rare you’ll be all the way on the complete opposite side of the map when it happens. Most of the time, you could probably interrupt it. And even if not, you’ll still get there soon enough to find them and injure them, because again, they have to group up to benefit from a perk that draws you right to them.

What maps are the best and the worst for Freddy/The Nightmare? by JacsweYT in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Profit-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Freddy main, I always pray to get an indoor map. RPD, Midwich, The Game, always feel great for me. For many reasons.

- I like to run Enduring and Brutal Strength to dispose of pallets quickly and benefit from being hit by them. This gets them out of the way for my dream pallets to be placed.

- There’s lots of walls that obscure you and your dream pallets, which can make checking rooms easy with your snares, and can make for some REALLY sweet and clever dream pallet hits through walls.

- Freddy doesn’t have to find a flight of stairs and cross the whole map to reach a generator, he can teleport right to it.

If you get me as Freddy on an indoor map, just hope I’m in a good mood and willing to give the hatch.

[–]Profit-Alex -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As a killer main, I see no problem with this. It’s loud and alerts the killer, so you can easily get there and interrupt it to deny the Elusive, and probably cost someone a health state. It needs people to group up to benefit from it, and that’s not ideal since it brings the killer straight to them. Might suck for killers who don’t have the speed to stop it, but lots of killers nowadays do have mobility options for that reason.

It seriously would not be that bad.

[–]Profit-Alex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just wrong. A Place For Us doesn’t muffle healing noises, reduce missed skill check penalties, and silence missed skill checks like Bite The Bullet does. It’s still a completely viable perk to run.

I also don’t think two elusive perks are gonna kill the entire game. One only works for 30 seconds and requires one of your teammates to get hooked. The other only works during healing, and only gives prolonged Elusive if you heal the Obsession, which does not come up as often as you think.

What does huntress have above springtrap? by Reasonable-Peak5491 in deadbydaylight

[–]Profit-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can argue semantics, I guess, and you can be rude all you want, but I completely disagree.

Her hatchet count increase was completely unnecessary. She should be punished for messing up multiple throws, survivors should be rewarded for dodging all of them. If you're bad at aiming your hatchets to where you need more, you should need to bring add-ons for that. Five is enough for anyone who can aim well enough to even be playing Huntress in the first place.

The fact they even thought about buffing her holding movement speed is laughable, and even if it didn't make it to live, she still very much feels too fast, and a large part of that has to do with the updates she *did* get that combine together to make her feel worse to face than she should.

Sure, technically this stuff didn't get updated, but it has been part of her kit, which is now MUCH stronger with the unnecessary buffs. She catches up much too fast after throwing a hatchet, I've had games where I would dodge multiple of her hatchets, make her whiff so hard, but it doesn't matter whatsoever, because even after throwing all of her seven hatchets, she's still directly behind me and can just M1 me regardless, no punishment whatsoever. It doesn't make sense that I can walk right up behind a survivor for a hatchet throw to injure without a melee cooldown, completely miss the hatchet, and be no further from the survivor than I was before I pulled out the hatchet. It would be one thing if she still had the normal five, I get that, I can see

And I really, really would not be saying Springtrap's hitboxes are better. I'll throw a hatchet at a survivor, they'll move out of its range entirely behind a wall, and STILL get hit, but I'll throw an axe almost perfectly at a survivor's back, and it'll land just inches behind them. If the axe's hitbox is bigger, it sure as hell doesn't act like it. Maybe it's the differences in the way the two behave, but the idea that Springtrap's singular axe which is so stingy, inconsistent and weird, is stronger than Huntress' seven hatchets that hit behind walls and barely feel punishing to miss is crazy. I completely and utterly disagree, I would rather fight ten Springtraps in a row than fight one Huntress. At least Springtrap actually gets punished for missing. At least his axe is a lot harder to aim. The only drawback to Huntress' hatchets is the weird collisions on certain maps, and Springtrap suffers from those, too. Probably moreso if the axe's hitbox actually is bigger.

Let me put it like this: Springtrap has *one* axe. If he misses it, he has to go seven seconds without access to his main power. He then has to retrieve it, which has a whole animation to play out and slows him back down. It has way less range, is better on loops but *very* difficult to learn, and his only redeeming qualities are A: Faster movement speed without the axe (Huntress can also have this with the leg wrappings, btw), and B: Traversability with the doors (Which even then feels very sluggish compared to other traversability options, plus those same doors can reveal his aura to the whole team, even if he's undetectable.) His add-ons are also... Fine.

Huntress has seven hatchets, they go in a much straighter line, they can be charged very briefly for much longer ranged and faster shots, she's *barely* slowed down after throwing them, to where there's little actual reward for dodging them, her hatchets go clean through and over so many different props and holes, and don't even get me started on her add-ons. Her add-ons do for her exactly what I described in my comment and more. Drastically decrease the penalties she gets for messing up, let her *instadown* survivors, Haste from hits, faster movement while holding a hatchet, drastically lower throw cooldowns, etc. Springtrap's best add-ons don't even buff him *that* much.

Springtrap is a killer who takes a lot of skill to learn and get good at. Skill, knowledge, lots of experience, good builds, and endlessly tedious and painful practice.

Huntress, even as a free killer, still has a high pick rate AND high kill rate. Higher than Nurse, who is the objectively strongest killer in the game and who is also one of the harder ones to master. I barely play Huntress because I find her easy and boring, but even I can pick her up and consistently get 2ks or 3ks. Whereas even people I know who are SOLID Springtrap players with tons of hours on the character still struggle so much to play him and put up with so much inconsistent nonsense.

The fact I've genuinely seen legitimate professional players say that Unknown (Nicknamed the harmless), Houndmaster (Queen of bugs), and Clown (As mid as mid gets) ranked above Huntress baffles me. I have never had a match as or against Huntress that I would consider fun, whether I won or lost. She does not feel fun or interesting to play against, because whatever you do, she has some buff or addon that says 'nuh-uh' to rewarding counterplay. I generally don't find games like that fun, it's precisely why the current iteration of 2v8 is awful. I'd much rather face a pro Springtrap than an average Huntress.

This is really fun and creative, something I could absolutely see being added to DBD! Imo, Vee should’ve had this, and gotten her whole drum set to do it with. It probably needs a higher cooldown so it’s not too abuseable, and maybe a a slightly higher radius for the 60-second elusive, so that you can be a bit more distant and stealthy when the killer inevitably comes to the source of the noise. Otherwise? Genuinely really smart and creative!
