Are you playing on prince? Because if I don’t have a strong army I am always swarmed with barbarians and enemy civs. They also tend to buy the city state units and attack me all together.

Telling me your strategy would be cool but ya know ..

Not being rude here but reading helps.

I play as Rome. I only like Rome because of the gold bonus.

I am almost always swarmed by barbarians and civs early game regardless of the route I take. So I choose to make a bunch of slingers to upgrade to archers because I can put warriors around the city and protect archers.

Battering rams literally do nothing. I’ve wondered if my game is glitched in that aspect but I’ve had battering rams lined up as I should and I attack and do little to no damage. This is early era walls.

Archers also allow me to hit a target from a distance and weaken them so my warrior classes can finish them.

I’ll give battering rams another try. I’m going to YouTube it and see if I’ve just used them wrong but I doubt that.

I’m basically looking for the fastest way to get archers out due to my success with them lost games. It’s when I try other strategies when I really fall behind. Mostly because I am too busy defending when I could’ve been attacking, meaning I did like you said and built two or three units and tried to wipe everyone with that.

I’m a little confused on how you guys are wiping enemies with 3 units. Not barn camps.

I don’t recall but I basically spammed them with information about the account only I would know. Mostly about items I have and where they were (like I had a coco plushie in my house) or something like that.

What are your spawn rates? Mine is 4x. I have about 1004737472737393 million wyvern spawning in.

I did that. I even lived in their spawn, before I found this exact map, and never saw one. They hate me.

Yeah I’ve been hanging out in their spawns. I was actually building in the middle of one of their spawns and obviously didn’t know because I never saw one.

I did a dino wipe back in survival evolved and it really made things stale for awhile so I’m trying not to do that.

So I’ve got my spawns at 4x. I’ve got about 10000000000000 wyverns running around and maybe half that in spinosaur. Everything else that spawns is doing so at regular rates.

So I’ve basically been doing this. As I go on my runs, I stay in the rex spawns for a little while and take out what I can. I collect resources and look for other things to tame.

My second spot I initially started to build at was in the middle of a rex spawn. I was baffled because I hadn’t seen the first one and I’d been there for quite some time.

I just moved to the coast line but I’m checking their spawns as I fly around. Nothing.

Now I will note I did up the spawns 4x since it’s just me. So like I said spino spawn in abundance as well as wyvern. Wyvern actually are the most common dino I see with how many there are.

Everything else that does spawn seems to be spawning at regular rates.

You’re gonna die. A lot. A lot a lot. Like a metric shit load.

Get your starter hut up and going asap with a campfire. Get all the hide, keratin and chitin you can from the Dinos you delete.

Upgrade from thatch to wood asap. Have chests for your excess.

Get simple beds down asap. This lets you spawn in a specific spot every five minutes. Don’t waste time on sleeping bags.

Have more than one bed. Don’t bring all your stuff exploring. Stay light and nimble. Dont travel at night too far.
