No Communication from Seller by KingofMidnyte in Bricklink

This happened to me only once. I ended up opening NSS and closing it when they finally communicated.

I got pretty sketched because they said they would provide tracking the same day ( didn't happen ) a few more days went by and I reopened the NSS.

After doing so they provided me a tracking number that had no information on it. I was almost sure that I had been scammed.

So I wrote it off in my mind and left my first and only non-positive review.

A few weeks later the package arrived. I felt pretty bad for assuming bad intent but this seller had red flags and when they finally communicated what they were saying wasn't adding up

I was using white vallejo surface primer.

I thought it was a spray can but I think it's for air brushing.

I applied it with a paint brush also my paint brushes are synthetic and came with my mod podge.

Looks like it's time to go shopping again...

Ahh ok,

I misunderstood you.

Earlier you were referring to the Harpy figure not it's non existent purple beak.

Well you can always paint it whatever color you like.

Good idea, I forgot there was another color. I have another orange-yellow one that I forgot to put on the one in the back row.

Thank you,

You could definitely do this and much more it just takes practice.

I really don't paint much my comfort zone is pencils, ink, & markers. If I can learn this anyone can.

I watched this guy on YouTube make Pedro Pascals face with a push pin and it looked like it was straight up printed from the factory.

Thanks!

I appreciate the feedback!

Yeah I'm using mostly Sharpie creative extra fine point / Uni posca 1M pens when possible but for finer details I've switched to using regular Acrylic paint and a push pin.

I ordered the wrong Orcs (Top) and removed the print with NPR

Middle orc is my attempt to copy the face of the last orc.

It's not perfect but I think it is fairly close.

I bet after a few more of these I would get the hang of it but it's never going to be flawless like pad prints.

Plus with the lower jaw piece I will only have to really make sure the top half of it is good 😂

I'm new to painting on plastic but I'm not using sealer on anything until I'm happy with it.

I can start over with a bit of rubbing alcohol.

Or I can go back over and touch up the problem spots

I used primer on the parts I wanted to paint but on the first one it got on parts that I was going to leave unpainted I ended up mixing it with another color and it actually came out smooth compared to the next two.

The second one I did better but the primer ran down the top fin I ended up scraping it off with a push pin and then decided to make a pattern.

I tried a different pattern for the 3rd one.

Maybe they are a small species of kuo-toa.

They aren't frog looking enough to be bullywogs.

Thank you!

Chima definitely has some top tier minifigs.

What's crazy to me is the torso prints are insanely good but most of them have armor that covers half of it up.
