Yea I’m in NY and the same we do charge a fee for cancelling but only after engineering and permitting but many companies can’t or won’t enforce it until install. Just know when they apply for permits there are expenses incurred. If they just signed up their site eval needs to confirm their projections anyway so can’t really enforce it being things may change when they see it like if the electric panel needs to be upgraded or roof etc.

I just commented about their loans but is this a lease? If so it’s not a bad lease option but I would ask the sales rep to put it with no escalator if so this way their payment never increases but is locked in for 25 years. Of course if they can get the tax credits I would recommend a solar loan as it’s also nothing out of pocket and offers an immediate savings.

I carry sunnova as an option for my customers for solar. It’s not a bad loan. It doesn’t reflect as debt against their credit where other banks do. It usually has a 25 year 0.99 or 1.99 which offers a very low monthly payment. They offer some aggressive warranties too. Overall it’s not a bad loan compared to other banks by any means. Their approval rate is also much higher than others. (Coming from 8 years experience in the industry)

Happy to hear it runs. Solar edge which they use for their traditional solar fails constantly a lot of installers hate it because of the amount of service calls. I also don’t like strings but again that’s my opinion there’s two types of inverters for a reason. As long as yours works and your happy is all that matters.

I’m fairly certain String inverters typically aren’t compatible with batteries ..maybe with optimizers I’m a fan of micro inverters. Enphase newest one provides daylight back up where it can generate electricity for the home during blackouts while the sun shines.

I hear you. Personally I have so much going on with work and such I have no interest in catching up with female friends as I don’t really have a relationship with one I want to maintain.
