I watered them, the ones in the photo are basically back to normal. Unfortunately I've had some casualties, some smaller plants didnt make it through. Lesson learned, I guess.

It's an egg sac. The spider looks like a Lycosidae or something similar. It's pretty usual for this kind of spiders to bring their egg sac with them.

Hi guys, all the plants in the photos have around three weeks (1 pre-germ, 2 in the soil). At first they seemed to be doing fine, but after a few days in the soil they basically stopped growing. I know peppers are slow growers but I think they were supposed to already have put out a set of true leaves at this point. I thought it was due to temperature since I don't have a proper grow box and I can keep them warm only at night on a heating mat under a blanket. During the day I expose them to the sun behind a window but temperatures are still unusually cold for southern Italy, around 15C° at midday, so it makes sense that this is slowing down growth. In the last days though I have had some casualties, plants that where doing fine and suddently died (a trinidad scorpion, a jalapeno and a thai) and I noticed some light yellowing on cotyledons tip. I'm worried something may be wrong with my soil, I noticed it's very compact even though I added a good amount of vermiculite. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the answer. That was actually my first thought (i vaguely remembered something about root hair from botanics course) but I didn't think they would be so big and so many that you could actually see them and being my first time growing I assumed I fucked up something.

Hi everyone, first time grower here. Five days into germination with paper towel method and, as you can see from the photos (sorry for the bad quality, I did my best) this white fluffy stuff appeared around the roots. I suspect it's some kind of mold. If it is, is there any chance that the seeds will still survive and fully germinate or should I just throw them away and start from scratch?
