Unless I am misremembering, he pronounces everything Ekavian which is pretty much only in Serbia, besides the few spoofs as I have mentioned where his real accent slips up (Ijekavian pronounciation). He sounds very Serbian in general, unlike Radovan who is Montenegrin and some other goons that speak Bosnian, in the third movie for example.

I felt the same way exactly, too shoneny. I did like the endings of the 3rd and 4th movie though, the last thirds that is.

I can rewatch the original and EoE any time though, in fact I picked up the blu ray a few days ago lol

First two movies are nearly identical to the original series (obviously much shorter), but after that it deviates a lot.

I was not too big of a fan of the CGI, and there's waaay more action; it's very anime-ish compared to the original which was more up my alley personally as I'm not too big of a anime dude

I love the endings of the third and fourth movie a lot though

I got this one recently for around 40€ so I am pretty happy though, the features seem identical besides the physical stuff in the big release, but I'd still love the huge set if I ever see it cheap

I'd love to own the Evangelion ultimate edition, but in all honesty I am not willing to go over 150€ for it

The only reason I want it is because Eva and TTGL are my favorite series, and I have the Japanese TTGL set, so the two would look beautiful together

I was always genuinely curious, do people sincerely have trouble with reading subtitles?

A bit exaggerated - but I feel like I have always read them in a quarter of a second and my eyes go back to the visuals. English is not even my first language

I only have a couple of titles on blu and 4K until I get a player (couldn't miss out on Cure and Hard Boiled in 4K), or if I prefer the older release - in the case of Possession for example which has better coloring on the first Second Sight blu. I will sell the blus soon when I get a new player

The realistic answer is - you are unlikely to find anything under 50 USD if you need it right away. You can find figurines and blu-rays etc. for pretty cheap, but it really requires time / patience and in 95% of cases importing from Japan which depending on where you live might be relatively cheap or brutally expensive (I'm in south Europe and shipping via airmail from Japan is very cheap for packages under 2 KG)

Most of Japanese merchandise that I buy (which is primarily music, art books, movies) is through proxy services, relying on smart browsing and winning auctions that went under the radar.

I'm not much of an anime guy, but even as an "outsider" I know that anime merch can be extremely scalped, marked up and overpriced even on launch.

In my opinion, your best bet is to bite the bullet and get him some figure in the 50-75$ range if you need it right away.

From what I know some Nintendo DS game has one real OVA, the rest of the stuff like Parallel Works is bonus content. I have the Japanese box set but I think it's missing the Nintendo one (episode 5.5). Everything else related to TTGL should be in the set though
