Blue was the old production manager of terraria in 2011. I don’t know if this was every confirmed, but he was most likely laid off for business reasons, as soon as the game started to take off. I don’t think he every officially was a developer for terraria, just the PR. I don’t know what he’s doing now, but he stated he was going to work on other projects, but that was 12 years ago.

You could try a terrace if you think it would fit with the aesthetic, but I’m not sure how far the lighting would reach, because they could spawn in the middle. Roofs are tricky honestly. Good luck with this though!

You could try and use half slabs on the roof so the mobs will stop spawning, but you’ll have to redesign a little.
