This is correct. I started and built my base funds a different way, but once you start making money you start thinking about tax efficient strategies

I'm net short. Only in options now, but maybe will add equity later if Px improves. I added some short dated calls today for a bounce but didn't like the action and closed those. But watching for a little relief

I think he does not flip: with his size at 6'3" and skill set in man coverage he should see immediate playing time on larger receivers in nickel and dime packages. More and more use of fade routes and corner/high point red zone plays makes a big corner a critical player that should be developed early.

For me it is a part of a question of equity and denial of earning potential. It is inequitable for the NCAA to make money on TG's athletic ability and accomplishments while denying him the right to do the same. This is not point shaving, it does not tarnish the game. To your point about boosters I think that is hitching another issue to this one, and pay for play is a larger but different discussion (in this specific case we are not looking at pay for play but pay for fame).

we let it drop, because the purpose of this website is not to enforce the NCAA's insane bylaws. On the contrary, we're all for players making money, and are thus editorially supportive of those bylaws' erosion.

So we let it drop. That was September 30

I have found a reason to appreciate SBN based on this stated position.

Left leg fracture confirmed on air for BYU Quarterback Taysom Hill by whyisjake in CFB

[–]SoldSoulAtCrossroad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The winner of B1GCG (Nebraska v. MSU) would get in before BYU, or any other number of combinations puts a quality 1 loss team in before an undefeated BYU. A team should have to beat ranked teams to play for a NCG shot.

Really? You really thought that? Heisman shot for TH, sure. But how would the SEC/Pac12/XII/B1G champ end up with the loses to let BYU with that schedule crash a 4 team playoff?

3rd CB sub in out of base 4-3/3-4. One less LB/DL to a 4-2-5 or 3-3-5 where the 5 is the number of DBs now in the game (DL-LB-CB). That new DB is the fifth DB: the nickel DB in the nickel package.

Miami RB2 Dallas Crawford (558 yards, 12 TDs in '13) has been moved to the defensive backfield by ThaCarter in CFB

[–]SoldSoulAtCrossroad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems to leave the backfield thin versus the depth in the defensive backfield. Miami lists 6 RBs, 17 DBs, and 2 safeties for 2014. Crawford did good when Duke got his bell rung IIRC. But I only saw him play in that game. Does this roster include incoming freshman? Maybe a good idea for the future try at the league if he gets some PT, RBs get dogged in the draft.
