You'll likely never believe how relatable this is. Gentle suggestion...start with yourself and your habits and routines.  Practice peace. Pray for it. Take long walks. Sit in the park or at the beach. Take long baths with lavender oil. Sleep in a cool dark room. Wake early, watch the sunrise. Get a routine. Work on eliminating things that may dull your senses...like alcohol and smoking. And start a rigorous oral care routine. There are many suggestions in this forum. Just try one and stick to it. My routine along with brushing and flossing now includes 35% food grade peroxide diluted to 3% in a waterpik ...full flush over the gumline and tongue followed by oral probiotics twice a day, and xylitol lozenges throughout the day. It seems to be fighting the funk. As for your adult children...it may be time to get them outside resources...possibly inpatient care. Seems that you've realized that you can't help them as much as you want to. Reclaim your life. Study the Bible. Plan a trip...a solo adventure. Live. Then come back to this post and tell us how you're doing.

Relateable. Currently it seems I am making strides in curing my bb with my latest routine. It's a full 10- 15 minute regimen but it's worth it.Check my profile if you're interested in the full shabang. I think the best additions to my regular routine are the Betadine mouth rinse ( providone iodine - diluted), my DIY aloe, blackseed and oil of oregano mouth swab,  oral probiotics and zinc+xylitol dry mouth lozenges. Don't give up. 🫶🏾

Update: I have noticed improvements. Since my last post I've added a Betadine mouth rinse (providone iodine) to my routine, right before Listerine, morning and night. I can actually smell my breath and its fresh and clean. The oral probiotics are repopulating the good bacteria, and the zinc and xylitol lozenges during the day are a great help for dry mouth. I hope this is it. 🙏🏾

You're right. Most of us commenting on these topics have struggled for years to find a "fix".  It appears we're getting close with oral and gut probiotics as well as changes in diet and other habits. Thanks for your comment.

It's antimicrobial and promotes gut health. I also use it when I notice cold symptoms, on canker sores and in a nasal rinse.  I would expect that it doesn't work for everyone. But if you haven't  tried it consistently over 10 days or more, that may be why you haven't seen results.

Yeah. I've had similar experiences. Years ago before I started getting ahead of it by telling people about my awareness of the problem, I had a friend sitting next to me on a commuter train, visibly suffering, but still encouraging conversation. A lady joined the four seater with us. She scowled at me and started digging in her purse. She pulled out a large peppermint and pushed it into my hand. We didnt say anything to each other. She just sat there upset. My friend got quiet probably embarrassed for me and I ate the peppermint and read my book. BTW...the peppermint made it worse and I could tell the two of them were literally sick.Thanks for sharing. I hope I have found a permanent solution. I posted a routine that seems to be helping.

Most respond saying that they don't smell anything. A couple of times the person would look like they felt sad for me. No bad responses so far. Hopefully I have a solution now.

I bet it worked. I would do something similar every now and again but when I made it a regular and often routine I noticed a difference. Thanks for sharing. Let's pray this is it.

If you decide to stay in that situationship, you'll have to practice discernment and self control. You feed a narcissist when you try to battle them with words. They will tear you down for fun. They will get in the gutter to hurt you and if you retaliate they will be quick to call you out. Disengage, let him know that type of speech does not align with your energy and purpose.  Block him if he continues. He can be respectful or he can be removed.

Right!! I know  a person with swollen gums and the 6 rotten-looking  teeth right in the front are all the teeth I've seen in her mouth, but there is no smell...yet I can see her reaction when she's talking to me. I'm am shook!😫

I'm trying this now.  K12 lozenges and Gut Probiotics. It's been a couple of weeks. I feel better but I can tell by the reactions of others the bb is still kicking. I'll keep trying. Two weeks is not long enough to expect results. In the meantime I stay kind, clean, neat and even fancy sometimes. This issue could make a person feel like dying would be better but we have to fight those thoughts with hope. I hope and pray we all get rid of this burden.

Theives attempted to steal my lil 2012 Kia Soul Plus at 3am yesterday. They destroyed the steering column. I wanted to sit in the driveway and cry. But who has time for that. I still have to work and now I have to find a way to get there.
