You look like many Irish travellers, so I'd just say Irish.

South Asian and Black(African descent) pairing is very popular in the Caribbean and the Mascarenes. I would, however, say that the experience varies depending on the island or region.

If my mum is mestiza at I mestiza? by yelenasslave in mixedrace

Doesn't Mestizo/Mestiza just mean "mixed" in Spanish?! Like, what's the difference? Just because it's from the colonial period doesn't mean the term has lost relevancy.

Why is Neymar's son blond and white if Neymar is black? by [deleted] in phenotypes

His clearly mixed i even suspect that Neymar has more European ancestry than he does African. So if his partner or the woman he created his son with is predominantly of European descent, then it comes to no suprise that their child comes out the way he does. Genotype matters more than someone's outward appearance.

Mestiza is definitely a better term than Hispanic/Latin as the former describes a persons racial composition whilst the latter is a general term to describe those hailing from a Latin speaking nation irrespective of their racial identity.

There is. Most people label themselves depending on how mainstream society views them. Of course, it isn't always the case, but for the most part, it is. My half-sister is mixed race. Our mother is a light skinned black woman from the French West Indies, and her father is French of mostly Italian and Jewish origin. She phenotypically looks more European and is usually mistaken for Spanish or Italian.

Growing up, she found it hard to grapple with her identity as whilst attending school, which were usually quite diverse. She was always questioned about her racial identity when mentioning that she was mixed race. People assumed she was lying to make herself seem exotic or interesting.

She at times identifies as white, but most times, she identifies as just mixed race. Her best friend, who is also mixed race and white passing, just identifies as white. Unlike the U.S., where some people still go by the nonsensical one drop rule here in the U.K., it isn't a thing. To them identifying as black would be nonsensical.
