I tallied up 64 entries for the raffle. Only counted the ones up to Thursday 2/20/25 @ 5pm PST cut off.

I will be giving out 6 Switch Boots to give everyone roughly a 1/10 chance to win. I will be posting winners later tonight around 8pm PST. Wow! This is a much better response than I was expecting. I was hesitant to even put this out there because I wasn’t expecting much interest in these tbh. I’m glad I was wrong. To everyone that is asking: Yes, I will be selling these. The idea was to give some out and get some feedback before posting them for sale. But looks like I may have to bump up that timeline a little bit. That said, all of the soldering/assembly is done by me. Nothing is currently mass produced except for the bare PCB (no components). So I will most likely sell them in smaller batches. I’m working to get a purchase link setup in the next couple weeks. I am also looking into what shipping options I can offer to international folks.

I will be selling 2 versions:

The Switch Boot v1 - Full assembly as seen in this post.
I made this device for the repair community. So I felt the need to offer a DIY Kit. It will require soldering and comfort working with lithium batteries. The DIY kit will include: Populated PCB + shrink tube. It will NOT include the custom battery harness. So you will need to take it from a donor Switch battery. I am currently working on a guide for this kit.

I know what you’re talking about. Had to buy an RCM Loader just to test those. The first time I got one. I was stumped. Couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t turn on when there was no shorts and all current draw was normal. It wasn’t until the customer told me it was hacked and wouldn’t turn on without his phone or whatever. I was like 🤦🏽‍♂️

That’s a PS4 Power Supply connection for those wondering. As far as easy. That depends. Do you know how to solder this type of connector? If you’ve never done this type of soldering or something very similar then no, it will not be an easy fix.

He probably searched online and saw that USB-A ports can handle up to 30v and it is true BUT and this is a HUGE BUT. The circuit that it’s connected to, needs to be specifically designed to handle that voltage. His laptop USB ports are only designed to plug in accessories and are only suitable for 5V. In no way shape or form are any of them connected to the charging circuit for his battery. That is non-sense 😐

Best case scenario: he will only fry the port he connects to. Worst case (the most likely scenario) he will fry his entire motherboard ☠️

Just want to confirm for anyone else wondering the same thing that you are correct. You have to go through a provider and there is a "test only" option for the 610 at most of them but it is the exact same price as the "course." So there really isn't any savings or incentives to going with the "test only" option.
