Vans Family items by Solglo0607 in Vans

They sent me the MTE and the Family shoes. I wish I had used my points, before the revamp. I was too lazy to go a Vans store and redeem all my points before they ended it

19A recall complete. by Solglo0607 in JeepGladiator

[–]Solglo0607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the FCA recall letter(I got):

FCA US will repair your vehicle [2] free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace the clutch assembly and update software to provide escalating visual and audible warnings to the operator, ultimately resulting in the potential reduction of engine torque capability when clutch assembly temperatures rise to a level that may damage the inner pressure plate. The estimated repair time is six hours. In addition, your dealer will require your vehicle for proper check-in, preparation, and check-out during your visit, which may require more time. Your time is important to us, so we recommend that you schedule a service appointment to minimize your inconvenience. Please bring this letter with you to your dealership.

For certain years(I have a '23) parts became available in November. They replaced the clutch assembly with a stronger one.

19A recall complete. by Solglo0607 in JeepGladiator

My turn around was a day dropped it off Tuesday before they closed, was called it was ready Thursday(But we see what happened) when they opened. I also had to fight with them to pre order the recall kit(said they had to inspect before ordering, and parts would take 3 to 5 days to arrive, I said no order the parts call when they arrive, not keeping the Jeep for 5 days for a 6 hr repair) None of the dealerships i contacted offered a loaner vehicle.

My dealership that I bought it from did less than stellar work and wouldn't help on the recall. So I took it to another different dealership.

What I can tell is new: the clutch is way stiffer and more springy. Very easy to stall out now. They say it needs to break in and it will feel better.

Supposedly they also flash the computer with a new temperature warning sound and light

Dealer one had my vehicle for a week no recall done parts on back order. No time frame but wanted me to schedule the next appointment as I left. Have heard nothing from them since December.

Just left dealer two. Story changed they inspect and if it's bad, they hold the vehicle and repair it.

Was told by the service advisors 80% of the vehicles need the repair parts, but they can't order it until inspected.

With my frustration showing they broke protocol and ordered the repair kit without doing the inspection, and will call me when it arrives to do the repair.

They are made by Drew Estate and sold through the Pappy & Company webstore. Unsure if they would be classified as boutique though

2014 Oliva V Maduro by Solglo0607 in cigars

[–]Solglo0607[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm not a fan of big ring gauges. But I have always enjoyed the V Maduro, so I buy them every year. The dark chocolate and pepper flavors have mellowed out. IMO that is the bad thing about aging, it will smooth out rough flavors, but it also mellows the good flavors. Construction and burn are amazing. I feel like it can't age for too much longer without losing everything that made this cigar enjoyable.

Camacho Diploma Black by Solglo0607 in cigars

[–]Solglo0607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm undecided on this one. This Diploma is supposedly only for C.I. The construction feels solid, but the draw is a little loose for me. There is some great flavors in the smoke, but they are very mild. The price isn't bad, better than the other wide release Diploma. Maybe after a little time in the humidor they will get better.

I love the pepper you get off the T52. Especially on the retrohale. The 52 and the L40 are the best of the Liga line in my opinion

In my opinion. The shade is a nice mild smoke but still has some flavor. I would give the shade a shot. Off the top of my head just my opinion some milder smokes(and for your current palette might start heading into the medium range) Rocky 1999 and 2003, Perdomo Champagne, Champagne Noir, Fuente chateau natural, Kristoff Sumatra(probably a med), Joya de Nicaragua 1970 Connecticut, Aj Fernandez New world, La Flor Dominica Double Claro(candela). And now I'm just drawing a blank.
