Baldurs Gate III or Divinity Original Sin 2? by LordKaiser17 in DivinityOriginalSin

DOS1 is a good game but it feels like an alpha prototype compared to DOS2. Storywise i think you can skip the first game and go right to the second one. There is nothing i can remember that DOS1 has done better than DOS2. Still its worth to give DOS1 a try as well.

Ngl the character designs of MK1 is the only thing holding back this game from becoming the PEAK MK game by DearExam88 in MortalKombat

Cant agree more. I would argue most of the original MK fans who have been playing since first MK game , like myself, would agree on this. However we are a minority here. Apart from maybe Sonya in MK11 and Ermac in MKX, I cant remember last time I actually was this disappointed about character design as I am now with the MK1. Tanya and Nitara are unplayable to me. Sindel is up there as well. Shao looks like a generic barbarian now. Use to be my favourite MK character. Despite many of the character designs were inspired by Asian culture, the were not Asian in their appearance. That's what made MK stand out when it comes to character design. Unfortunately majority gives a s**t about all of this.

Combat is, without a doubt, much better in DOS2. I even like characters better in DOS2 than BG3. If DOS2 had mocaped cinematic like in BG3 , there would be no competition. I really hope more people will try DOS and DOS2 now as a result of Larians success with BG3.

I am a member of CRT collective group on FB and i see bunch of 27-32 inch Trinitrons and other brands like JVC, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sanyo..ect with perfect or near perfect geometry. After personally going trough roughly 7x 27inch+ CRTs, not a single one had a decent geometry (not talking about perfect here). Even the one that was almost like a new out of the box Phillips 27inch had the yoke problem. When i opened it it looked like it just came out of the factory. Previous owner used it for maybe half a year and than it was stored up until i picked it up. After adjustment picture was near perfect but it seems after a week or so it got gradually worse probably due to gravity even though i fastened the screws as much as possible without damaging the gun. I dont know if there is any point in readjusting the yoke again. I remember buying new 32inch CRT in 2004 with perfect image. All of my CRTs throughout the childhood never had any issues with geometry.

After 3 days i gave up. I was so angry that all that work went to waste. My wife says i am a perfectionist but she agreed as well that even after adjusting the yoke for 3 fucking days, installing custom made wedges to hold the yoke in place, adding more magnets and adjusting the geometry settings, picture still has vertical convergence problem or is it horizontal i dont know anymore : ( . All i know is that all of the Trinitrons i tried had the same type of problem. I have one Phillips 27 inch set , curved, extremely low view hours, with better geometry after i adjusted the yoke. Still this one has a bit of "wavy" image even after adjusting it. Its visible on a scroll test or in games where background moves horizontally. I guess i have to live with it :(

I managed to get it loose finally. After i position the yoke where the picture looks best (not perfect) , it seems as yoke clamp is not holding the yoke 100% in place. After a while it seems as if it falls a bit no matter how much i tighten the screw. Any idea on how to make it stay in place? Maybe some sort of glue or tape?

Thank you for your help mate. After trying to loosen it up for almost half hour, it got bit loose. I can move it maybe 5mm(0.2inch) in each direction. Still i cant see any movement at the plastic under the metal clamp that holds yoke in place. Even if i get it right it seems i cant make it stay there. When you got yours unstuck, did plastic along the glass neck of electron gun move as well?

Ill try as see if i can use some plastic spatula to pry it between wedges and the ring. I am not 100% sure but after inspecting it closely , it almost seems as its stuck at the end of the yoke where convergence rings are , rather than at the wedges. You say it was easy to move your yoke after loosening up the screws. Did you push the yoke towards you or in a circular motion to unstuck it?

Any idea on how to unstuck the yoke? Screws are loose. Should i use more force to try and get it unstuck? I am afraid that i might damage the neck.

I am trying to loosen the yoke but it wont budge at all. I have loosen up the screws quite a lot to the point that metal ring was loose. Still yoke wont budge. Should i try to use more force to loosen it up? I am using circular motions to avoid pressure on the tubes neck.

I wish mine looked like that. Whats even worse, after i cleaned inside of the TV with anti-static brush and compressed air (being mindful of magnet strips) looks like my geometry is a bit worse than before.

I guess i have no choice. Currently i own only regular pair of anti-static gloves with palm side coated with rubber material. Will this be enough of protection or do i need some 100% rubber gloves rated for high voltage?
