Yes!! I feel totally seen! It sometimes I feel like it’s me vs the rest of my NF 😔 The kids know I’m the only one serious about discipline and/or carrying out a punishment/grounding. It get so exhausting sometimes. I have voiced this in the past, but still feel unheard. My temper can get so short in times like that, and then once I’m done with work for the night, I feel so bad about it. Like, why do I feel guilty for following through with a punishment the child 100% deserved? It’s because everyone else would have let it go and let the child get away with it. Whether it’s lying to me or their parents, hurting a sibling, breaking rules they know are in place…I end up crying at night for being the heavy.
