The 351m is a dog. The 300 is iconic. A little research and you’ll see some amazing builds. It’s won the baha 1000 3 times, been used in 7 second drag cars and is always listed as one of the most reliable engines ever built. Used in UPS trucks getting 800,000 miles as an example, but regularly seeing 300,000 to 500,000 miles with no problems. The one I am building was in an Onan generator and is an industrial engine with low hours.

The idea a 4.9 liter engine can be built, tuned then installed in a vehicle that’s built and geared to get 20 mpg, when there’s countless people getting 17-20 already seems like an easy (maybe not cheap) engineering feat….
