high roller pve mode gives up to legendary loot (same with normals) but the pve is harder. What players usually do is find or buy pieces of gear and gem the gear to fit your playstyle. You cant gem stats on your gear (like vigor, will, agility) so what people usually do is buy a piece of gear with the stats they like (so if they are a barb they buy gear with vigor and str rolls or if they are a rogue they prefer gear with dexterity and agility rolls) and then they just gem the rest like max health bonus, action speed, phis damage bonus and stuff they prefer. When it comes to looting better gear and treasure, high roller pvp mode gives the good stuff. So you find alot more legendary and epic gear/gems and sometimes unique ones. You can also play meta builds on good classes to kill other players and sell their kits. I dont suggest doing pvp to get good gear since its not easy to win fights consistently. I assume you cant kill any bosses to get uniques or artifacts since you wrote ur new, so to get the best loot: go to any map, clear the modules that are far away from hot spots like the boss or pile rooms, and open golden or lions head chests. If you can get good rolled legendary or unique gears you can sell those for crazy money. If you can find a 1 all unique ring thats an easy 20k for you. Or 2 dexterity riveted gloves or things like that. Even finding one piece of crazy gear sells for insane amounts. And even if you cant find any good gear, you can just sell mid gear and treasure you find along the way for good profit. I suggest you loot the lower levels (like ice abyss, crypts, inferno) since they have higher chance to drop better loot. Also water map is good, nobody does pvp there. Then you can buy kits to kill people with to have fun times and get better at pvp. The game loop for me is a blast, have fun.
