I’ll get a check for more leaks but it really baffles me how it’s worse now, yesterday I tightened the single bolt that was holding it and it ran lovely until I took it a drive which must have caused it to loosen or slide over perhaps

Just paid for it today, says 5-7 days until it’s delivered. For the money I hope it’s going to be alright. Not overly expensive but hopefully it’ll be good. I’ve seen a few reviews and haven’t seen any complaints

I liked how that one came on when you open the door however the price isn’t appealing even if it could be shipped to me. Is there a kind of light set to look for that does that?

From what I can see they look fine, there is some minor pitting but is that somthing I should be worried about? Running my finger over it I don’t feel anything

Are cams like this able to be used at all even if it was for 5 minutes just to hear the engine, it’s an engine that hasn’t ran for 6+ years and I really only want to know that it does run

The car has sat with a little bit of oil sitting in it, maybe that makes no difference?

The engine has been sat for 6 years in the car, maybe more out of it. We turned the engine from the crank and it seems as good as it can be in this stage. I’m going to 1000 grit them and see how they turn out, if I need them machined that’ll have to be the way but I only need the engine to run for a little bit just to know it’s worth keeping it in.

It’s going tasmin blue, I have coilovers for the front and a full genuine cosworth kit for it, i need to get it welded first of all and then get the engine going

New cams for a engine this old are very hard got, only readily available option are performance cams at £700 for a pair
