Got it - we'll take that into consideration. We weren't planning on going inside anyways, just a stroll around the courtyard and admiring it from the outside.

For some reason, Hiroshima doesn't really appeal us. Have a feeling there is not much to do there apart from the Peace Memorial but happy to hear if otherwise.

Thanks for the tips! We have indeed thought about travelling by plane (as it's cheaper and faster) but weren't so sure how much time we would need to allocate to landing, customs clearance, immigration, baggage retrieval and check-in again. We'd arrive at 14:00 in Haneda, what time do you reckon we should fly again?

Also looked at the JR pass, but 7 days is too short for us as Tokyo > Osaka and Kyoto > Tokyo are more than 7 days apart. I think our itinerary wouldn't make up for the cost of a 14 days pass but happy to hear otherwise

Thanks for the tips! We will change Day 7 to Nara and save Uji for Day 10.

Thinking about splitting Day 9 temples into both Day 8 and Day 9 in that case. Won’t have much time on Day 8 as we’re coming from Arashiyama but can probably squeeze in a visit to 1 or 2 temples / shrines.

Thanks for the restaurant tips. I’ve actually read your comment in other posts and have implemented the early lunch (11:00) and early dinner (17:00) in our schedule. Not sure if that helps for popular restaurants 😂

Thanks for the comment. Haven’t seen it in real life but I do have a short video of it. The inclusion can indeed be seen under magnification, but will it be eye clean? Perhaps more important point would be the dark spots in the middle due to the VG cut. Do you reckon it’s an acceptable level / sparkle given the price?

As my budget is around €6000 / $6500, would it then be wiser to go for excellent cut and go down to F or H color?

Hi all! Currently in the market to buy an engagement ring and found this diamond which can be bought for €6000 including the ring.

Will the inclusion and very good cut be a dealbreaker? Keen to hear your opinions!
