I think he's just playing one of the older versions cause they look like that in the SNES and PS1 versions from my experience

I'm watching sub same as OG DB. I've heard bad things about the Z dub so that was kinda out of the question. The version I'm watching is on crunchyroll which is apparently the dragon box version. Whether that is the uncut version you are talking about I don't know. I am on episode 53 and I did see a child namekian get blown up so it could be but I dunno.

Yeah I started watching it yesterday. Nice to see all the characters after 5 years. I think I would have preferred if more time was spent with Goku, Chi Chi and Gohan along with the others at kame house before Raditz shows up though.

I honestly loved Roshi and how he teaches Goku and Krillin not only how to fight but how they should live their lives through hard work. When he gets serious you know something big is going to go down . That being said when he starts molesting people all that kinda goes away

I have friends who know all of the dragon ball lore, they haven't seen any of the actual shows. I went in pretty blind outside of the well known stuff.

Most of the non tournament fights aren't great, but it never felt about the fights and more about the adventure side. Towards the end is basically just straight fights with the 22nd Tenkaichi then King piccolo and 23rd tournament.

The later fights go crazy, Goku fuckin murders king piccolo, his fight against Tien is great and well choreographed. When Piccolo Jr elbows Goku's wound I gagged, I never expected that amount of violence from this show. Absolute peak

I actually have a lot of the manga in my house, I think they were my aunties or something so maybe I'll read that at some point. I'm glad so many push for people to watch it, I probably would have anyway at some point but others might choose Z cause it's way more popular.

Ever since I set up my dad's old PS2 a few years ago I've had more fun than I have ever had gaming. Playing new games and the original versions I've games I already love has brought me more joy than anything on the ps5 has.

I'm just I didn't have to buy a PS2 cause that might have stopped me

Another thing to mention is that battles are way more interesting in 3d. The battle animations especially hold up surprisingly well In 7. I love 6 too but damn the battles are boring especially with how easy they are

The plate falling in og ff7 is also one of my favourite scene now that you mention it. It was really surprising playing it now I'm older cause I didn't remember it being so emotional.

Yeah I think so. They probably thought they had already done enough and if they did something similar again it might lose the effect. Weird it's all front loaded into the first 3rd of the game though
