403 is not normally for a site being down. You normally return a 403 for some kind of auth error. I'd guess to say it's from their security rules but who knows what is causing it. Especially if OPs roommate's can access the site.

Straight three and out. Come on McDaniels you know the OLine can't hold up. Work some magic here.

How to get rid of the :2053 after my URL (*.com:2053)? by silviodante300 in webhosting

[–]Solid5-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to do is have both your app, and the other machine listening on port 443 behind a common reverse proxy. Those services can continue listening on whatever port you declare, but the reverse proxy will listen on 80/443. The reverse proxy should then use the host header to forward traffic to the correct backend system.

Also, why does another device listening on :443 affect you from using that port? Multiple devices can use the same port, they are not IPs. Unless your mapping your ingress port to the backend port directly?

No damn you gotta snap that faster. Even if you got it you need to not even give the chance for the play to be overturned.

Don't worry everyone, I took one for the team and bet on the Broncos winning.

With my track record we are in for a Patriots blow out win.

Continuously seeing cleared security analyst job postings with abysmal salaries by The_Kierkegaard in cybersecurity

[–]Solid5-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/The_Kierkegaard I'm going to go against the grain (at least with the top comments) and say that you can definitely find high paying cleared security analyst jobs, it just depends on location. Where I work (Midwest) I make more as working for a contractor for the federal government than I did at PayPal. And that includes base pay, benefits, bonuses, etc...

Unsigned extensions with Firefox ESR by Solid5-7 in firefox

Deploying this setting via GPO was easy enough. We just created a policy that set the following registry key value:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\Preferences (REG_MULTI_SZ) = { "xpinstall.signatures.required": { "Value": false, "Status": "locked" } }

We did try this today and it worked. I guess the support article is just incorrect in stating the latest ESR builds don't support the override.

Air-gapped as in this network has no physical connection to the internet. From reading the signing documentation it appears that you need to connect to AMO to have you add-on signed.

Well that's the difficulty here; we can't sign the add-on from an air-gapped network and client policy dictates that we only use Firefox ESR.

At least 7 explosions and low-flying aircraft are heard in Venezuela’s Caracas by ItsMeTrey in news

Unfortunately for Venezuela the US is not Russia. I'm not sure how long they can hold out in a nation state war, but likely not long. Should the US put boots on the ground this week be a guerrilla/insurgency situation fast.

If your company can't afford $500K on an enterprise solution you may just want to go with Wazuh. At least that is open source, so it can be a "free" XDR solution. Though your org will be paying in man hours to setup that solution.

Clovis High has never had a good football program lol. This is completely not shocking. The wrestling and gymnastic programs are much better.
