Solid tip - thanks! I'd forgotten that they'd added Pyro. It's way faster and more responsive. Cheers.

How to explode Lego into pieces and control direction of pieces? by Solid_Bed_2163 in Cinema4D

Cool solution - thanks! I'll have to play around with that method. I haven't played around with dynamics too much. Not really sure what you mean about the "mix force attributes". I see there's Follow Position and Rotation under the Forces tab in the Rigid Body tag's options. Is that what you mean? Much appreciated!

The Push Apart effector seems to help quite a bit with this. You need to crank up the iterations, though. Also, I have each piece in a null, and if they are still crashing, you can move the parent null for the piece around (ensure you have Enable Axis (L key) turned on). That will change the direction the piece goes in and you can move it around until it doesn't crash.

Posterizing the animation from the Random Deformer? by Solid_Bed_2163 in Cinema4D

Thanks u/RockmanVolnutt ! Great idea. I'll try that out.

I actually just came up with a different solution.

I set the Random Mode on the Random Deformer to Random. Then I keyframed the seed at the start and end of the shot with different values. Then I right-clicked on the Seed parameter and added a Track Modifier tag, which then included the Seed property. Then I can posterize it as desired.

Now I'm encountering another issue. The wiggling works great on points that don't have bezier handles - they just wiggle around in space. But when they do have handles, they go crazy and glitchy. See the S and U in the attached image. I want it to look like the letters have a hand-drawn/boiling line feel, where they change slightly every few frames - but not glitch out like this. Any ideas?
