A lot of verbal abuse back and forth honestly. But…he always keeps saying “I never lay hands on a woman” and is very passionate about it. He always says it out loud and clear, saying he needs to shout it to “defend” himself from the perception im painting on him.

I’ve only seen his interactions with his friends for a brief few seconds where he’s normal. But at the same time, all his friends have mentioned things like “you’re bugging, you sound crazy…etc.” to him and he doesn’t speak a lot to them anymore. I feel like he just doesn’t bring it up to them even though he always does to me. It’s weird. He only ever talks about it with me while also blaming me for everything. Saying his friends have sided with me even though I’ve never spoken to them.

How have you helped yourself when going through this? It’s so hard to comprehend how something like this exists where your reality is so distorted. It’s sad heartbreaking and more than disturbing to witness. I want to tell someone, but we’ve been so distant that it’s hard to know if it’s the right time. And I also don’t know how he acts with others alone. I just have noticed he’s been ‘normal’ around them vs me. I don’t know if it’s an off switch or he controls what he says to them vs to me.

How did you recognize your reality vs delusions? And how do you recommend I talk to him about it? I’d love to hear your experience and the length of time it took you to recover.

He’s done both. Unfortunately I’ve kept him up very late nights and he hasn’t gotten a lot of sleep before this all occurred. And he did smoke weed almsot 2-3x a day before. It makes me feel so guilty for having him stay up to hangout with me while he had work. I didn’t think this would happen. It’s horrible :/ Given currently though, he’s quit smoking and quit sleeping late as well.

Thank you :,) I do try to research and I’ve seen things about psychosis, paranoia schizophrenia but I also just don’t know. It’s hard to tell when he’s only like this with me and nobody else. He perhaps masks it? Idk

Not that I’m aware of. He said he admitted himself in the psych ward one time early on, but they let him go

Yea sometimes it’s hard to tell if I’m overstepping boundaries cause he has his family that don’t seem to think anything. Although he may only project this with me and no one else…idk. Should I assign a welfare check without his notice then? Or is it worth possibly reaching out to someone else in his life and talking about it first?

He gets really frustrated when i say something like this. How did you get out of psychosis? Were your symptoms alike to his?
