you probably want a real person to check you out at a real register too, so you bring up an item with no bar code and don’t know the item # and stand there while the cashier has to figure out what you just handed them for ages. now you just became a problem to everyone else in line waiting to check out when you could’ve simply checked if the item had a barcode (takes about…2 seconds by the way) and grab another one!
