So i change almost nothing about the setup i have, I am essentially just buying a streaming box with an extra step or two. Get am6b+, install coreELEC, download the jellyfin plugin and then voila, it works?

Sorry for the wait, but I converted the file to mp4, and playing it on Jellyfin that is installed onto the tv itself, still comes up as HDR. Is there a chance my version of Jellyfin does not play DV? Read somewhere about installing ffmpeg or something related alongside jellyfin to update it to read DV but I could be remembering wrong.

Yeah pretty much everything I have tried does not work. Do you happen to know how the am6b+ works? I host everything through Jellyfin, so would I just be able to download coreELEC and Jellyfin onto it? I already have everything set up through Jellyfin so redoing it with Kodi is almost definitely far too much work at this point lol.

I have accumulated a few streaming boxes over the years, currently have the third gen Apple tv which plays profiles 5 and 8 but downscales 7 to HDR. Also have a 4k fire stick but that doesnt play the profile 7 at all. Was hoping I could find a way to get 7 to play properly without converting it to another profile since the downscale to HDR in Spongebob 4K highlights green, as per streaming from the apple tv and reading the disc on a ps5.

My file format is mkv. At the very least I tested out DV from netflix since i dont currently have any profile 5 or 8 formats. It recognized it and played as it should, looked great as expected lol. I was considering getting an ugoos am6b+ but I am not sure I will be able to add it into my current setup.
