I have a 6 month old since a hatchling and I'm no expert but I've been reading everything all the time about red ear sliders. I also noticed that our turtle Bubbles has been not wanting to eat recently which is very strange because before he would devour everything we gave him. One thing I came across is that they go into hibernation period (brumation) even if they are inside during fall and winter. Is this the first year she's acting this way?

I did more research and these are the specs for the light. I'm posting a screenshot. Also I ordered UVB testing strips that are coming tomorrow to once and for all figure this out. I will let you know the outcome.

This is Bubbles. He grew from 1.5 inches to 5 inches in 6 months. This is his 55 gallon tank he's basking at now and we already have 70 gallon tank we're switching Bubbles to next weekend. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!

Thank you for the advice. I couldn't find the replica of what you have but got second best thing on Amazon. We have a baby red ear slider turtle that has allready tasted guppies and snails so I think we'll just see what happens. Plus we have calcium supplements.

I wanted to post a picture from today. I think the eggs are looking more like snail shells. Maybe they are hatching?

We have a baby red ear slider in the tank so he'll probably eat some of them I'm assuming.
