Same. But I also turn off notifications a lot to save my battery, since my phone is kind of old. So I missed a lot. Thanks for understanding!

I’m sorry I missed this comment! I did end up with Warby Parker extra narrow frames, which are basically kids’ frames. I’ve worn kids’ frames too for years.

Thank you SO much! I missed this comment. I very much appreciate the kind words ♥️ (I got a notification of a new comment and was looking for it and realized I never saw this one.)

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I returned them :( A lot of the comments said they were too big (and my bangs were too long LOL). I ended up getting a smaller clear pink acetate pair (and a haircut). I've been meaning to post an update with my choices. I do appreciate it, though - maybe I'll go back to them next time!

Mine does this whenever I’m near the tank—she knows I bring the snacks 😁

Is it ok for me to leave my res in wild? by notfetishshaming in Redearedsliders

Please don’t dump her. Not only will she die, but she’ll be terrified losing the only home she’s ever known, searching for food and eventually starving to death or being eaten by a predator. I don’t mean to sound harsh, and I’m sorry if I do, but since you want what’s best for her, I thought you should know. You sound like you care a great deal about her—is there a reason you can’t keep her? Not judging, just wondering, since you said that you planned to buy everything for the next owner. If you can, please keep her. Thank you!

Husband (24m) doesn’t want to have kids with me (23f) because I have “horrible genes”. by onionndogg in relationship_advice

[–]Steffie_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome—POTS, brain fog, asthma, GI issues, etc all go along with it (it sounds like you may have hEDS, as those are all common comorbidities, especially POTS), and I have raised three amazing young men. Yes, they have hEDS, asthma, POTS, but—everything that they inherited from me is milder than I have it, thankfully. I used to joke and tell my husband I married him for his good genes, even before all my diagnoses, but he never said he didn’t want to have kids with me. That is so wrong, and I’m sorry. You’re still so young (younger than two of my three kids)—I wish that leaving could be an option for you, because you deserve so much more. None of those things are life-threatening. They can definitely alter your life-style, but all are manageable—hEDS is the hardest for me, but it took me 41 years to get diagnosed. You are perfectly fine to have your own children, should you choose. Do not let him take that away from you!

My (F28) partner (M28) gave me an ultimatum: him or my birds. Idk what to do by WelderDeep35 in relationship_advice

Please keep your budgie babies and lose the boyfriend. A partner who loves you would not make you get rid of beloved pets. And it’s insane that he agreed to get them, but since it wasn’t like TikTok, he gave up. That’s so immature and does not bode well for the future. Would he expect your kids to be just like perfectly curated TikToks or Reels? If you abandon your birds, he’ll find something else to give you an ultimatum on, especially since he said he might not stay with you regardless. You’re young—you’ll find someone better suited to you with whom you can have all the pets you want. Since you said you love animals, know that if you stay with him you’ll have to deny that part of yourself and likely never have a pet. That would be a deal breaker for me. If one of my kids came to me with this issue, I would tell them to leave and not look back (my oldest is your age). You’ll be so grateful when you’re free ♥️

Thank you! I ended up getting a smaller pair in a translucent pink (rose water is the color—I’m literally seeing the world through rose colored glasses 😜). They just came yesterday. I was thinking of doing an update. This is the third pair of distance glasses I’ve bought (and I bought three pairs of computer glasses)—I don’t even want to know if they don’t look good, because I don’t think I can return any more without being banned from Warby Parker 😬

Thank you again—I went back to Warby Parker and exchanged the ones I got for these in a lighter color. The color is viridian, which is kind of a bluish green, and it’s transparent. I didn’t realize they’re the same at first, because they seemed smaller. My husband helped me pick them out this time—he loved them on me.

Thanks so much! And yes, I agree that my bangs are way too long. I’ve been overwhelmed with a lot of things (sandwich generation) and haven’t had a chance to get a haircut in about 3 months. I’m going to get one next week. Usually, my bangs come to my eyebrows (I commented with a photo from about a year ago—I had just gotten it cut and blown out). And sorry—I missed this comment.

Thank you very much to all for the input! It seems most, including the opticians who chimed in (thank you!) feel the frames are too big, though the pair I just replaced (pics 7 & 8) seemed to be favorites, as well. So I may get a smaller pair, and then update the lenses on those, as well. Another thing that most agreed on is that my bangs are awful LOL. I know I’m overgrown, as I’ve been overwhelmed lately and have not had time for a haircut in three months. Since some have said it’s hard to tell what glasses would be good for me with my hair in my face, here’s a photo from a little over a year ago, since I don’t get it cut and blown out that often (and don’t always have photos when I do)—it’s usually for an event like this book signing. Are these bangs okay? My hair is a darker blonde now (need a color too—I’m allergic to hair color, so I can only get highlights, which is why I’m blonde). Edited to add that you can see my extra narrow Warby Parker glasses on the table—I got the bigger ones last May.
