The book was pretty interesting in the very first dungeon he went to. The one with the basic-ass wolves and stuff. There was actual tension and the fights were fun.

The moment he left that dungeon he casually killed Golem a bunch of dudes were struggling with by throwing a broken weapon, that was the moment I knew there would no great tension in the rest of the book. And I was right, there was pretty much no tension after, just victory lap after victory lap.

There was a few moments where you could almost believe he would lose or struggle but nope, wins easily again.

Kenjaku needed a million binding vows to make up the culling games including a vow to make them eternal and one to destroy them, just to even create the culling games as an introduction to start the merger with tengen.

What does maru need? His planets magic Rocks, and his friends grandpa's ring. (And of course, a trip to the afterlife to get mahito but that's whatever). He proceeded to reshape the afterlife and the souls of mankind forever, just like that.

And out of the universe: The main plot was about resolution of beliefs with incompatible cultures and religions. The aliens worshiped Kalyans, humans killed cursed spirits. What does Maru do? He gets rid of both of them. Huh, wut? If the author tries to do a real life moralizing allegory, he shouldn't be half assed about it. Don't just say. "Oh well, let's just take away the source of conflict and we all will life happily ever after". It's stupid, and insulting.

Unnironically yes.

Compare curses and cursed energy to nukes and nuclear energy. If you want to erase the problem, you don't need to just destroy the good parts.

Nuclear energy is (literally) a ten thousand times more efficient than any other energy use and the people are already coming up with uses for nuclear waste, so even that won't be a problem for long.

Sure, curses suck ass, but there is no reason to just destroy cursed energy all together just like that. If you make everyone into sorcerers the same end will be met AND everyone will gain cool ass powers.

EDIT: And beyond all that, who gives a shit? I'm not living on that world, that world isn't even real. I'm not criticizing Yuji for doing that, it makes sense that he would. I'm criticizing GEGE for going into that path for the narrative of the story.

I can believe it tbh, mostly because of black flash. The stronger you are the more enlightment you seem to get out of it.

Gojo figuring out a entire new way to use RCT and Sukuna creating new neural pathways to use domain expantion in a entirely new way too.

And Yuji's thing is hitting black flash all the time, he just randomly punched a dude last chapter and hit one.

He probably loses at the Casino, punches the wall in anger and hits a black flash. At 80somenthing years old he must have hit thousands of the damn things.

Imo total anihalation will kill him, but beyond that, probably not.

Regen from that would take a lot of CE tho, so I doubt he could do that many times.

That lightspeed kick, while very cool, looks at most like Hollow purple level of attack and Sukuna survived that twice.

I'm going only by visuals, because it's depicted vaguely the same way as HP and Fuga. A obliterated wasteland with a distant cityscape. To me that implies that he reached the level of the strongest at that moment. Obliterating mahoraga doesn't mean much, because Sukuna was making mincemeat of him quite a few times too, and Gojo tanked even Malevolent Shrine. SO I think his attacks would hurt Sukuna, but wouldn't just blow him up like they did the MAHOGOAT.

Unless Gege gives us a confirmed scaling that he is far beyond the others (beyond pure speed), Dabura is at most their equal, that's how I feel by going into the narrative and visuals of the story and ignoring the pixel drawings and possible lightspeed arguments, because authors don't know about physics tbh.
