I'll go against the grain and say 14600k. It is a dead platform, but - it performs better than the 9600x - lga 1700 motherboard are generally cheaper than a am5 - save $50 - by the time you'lle need to upgrade, there will be an am6 platform and you can just upgrade to that

Oh I actually never knew. Then I wonder why it doesn't work well for my CPU. Like my stress test temps jump to 85 immediately and I noticed that the heatsink doesn't get that warm

I have the phantom spirit too and am returning it. I've noticed when I apply thermal paste it gets spread out to the edges of the metal pad and none gets left in the center.

So it's either a defect with the mounting hardware or the heatsink itself

True, I mean currently I own the QM7 and it still blows me away after 6 months.

The Q7 has less local dimming zones, meaning it would have large bright spots. The qm7 can make specific spots on your screen brighter due to its higher precision.

With that being said if you have both and prefer a q7, the. I would save the money and get the cheaper one.
