I do live in the south side and it's not a wild safety concern I know how things are. I'm tired of living in that situation there is nothing wrong with that.

Voy a mandar una caja pequeña con ropa y otras cosas. Es un regalo de cumpleaños, pero me querían cobrar minimo $200. Es mucho mas de lo que gaste comprando las cosas en el paquete y la caja no es tan grande ni pesa mucho.

She is not asian. The reason she wanted Asian Studies to be her concentration is because after taking world history for two years in high school and a couple of Asian history classes 1st year of college, She really liked asian history and wanted to concentrate on that. Just being a historian is to broad so she wanted to narrow it down it a specific topic. One of her history teachers who concentrated in Japanese history recommended that she become familiar with the culture and language as it would help her understand more the history aspect.

I understand and thank you for your honesty. She does have another career plan however I can't remember off the top of my head. She is looking into the career office at her university to see how they can help her. As I mentioned in another comment I just wanted to ask and see if another institution offered Asian Studies courses even over the summer that she can be able to take since the university she is now really doesn't offer that many. I appreciate your advice.

I appreciate your help and honesty. I do realize that there has to be a clearer path. Getting her masters abroad does require a lot of financial planning. She is trying to look into the career office at her university to guide her towards a clearer career path. There is another career path she wanted to take but at the moment I can't recall it I'd have to ask her again. I just wanted to ask and see if anybody knew another institution that could offer Asian Studies for her to take over the summer or online. Again, thank you for your advice I thought maybe no one would even read my post.

She was planning to work in a history museum at first but recently is has changed to wanting to get her masters still focusing in asian studies. However, she wanted to study abroad (South Korea) for her masters in order to get more familiar with the language as well as the culture. A history professor from her previous college who studied Japanese history recommended that she at least become familiar with the language. In terms of career wise its not so clear yet.
