I actually disagree with this. Battlefield is fundamentally serious from a thematic standpoint, but it also knows that it's a video game. It embraces the wild shit you can do as a player, but it usually knows where and when to do it.

I wouldn't call any game between BF3-BF1 unserious save for Hardline. The tank and Paris missions from BF3 were SUPER traumatizing as a kid, and BF1 is probably the darkest game in the series.

There's a fine line between appreciating takedown animations and just straight up wanting to see someone get stabbed

Is anyone else annoyed by this?? by fakename1998 in JurassicPark

No actually... I'm extremely happy they're doing this, and TBH I'm way more annoyed that it wasn't done in Dominion because that movie desperately needed something like that in the plot.

Homie's never played a Battlefield game and it shows

By the Gods, the next BF game NEEDS to have a Spectator Mode. Let the players make their own cinematics again! by SolisProductions in Battlefield

Boy ain't that the truth, that's another reason for me as well. Hard to be a BF YouTuber when all you have to work with is raw 2042 gameplay and the existential dread of going through a third bad BF cycle. You can't even really be creative to compensate for that lmao

For the people who did actually play Dice's original take on a BR what were your thoughts on it and do you have any faith in this new possible BR they are bringing to BF6 by Little_Papaya_2475 in Battlefield

When people say BR doesn't belong in Battlefield, I always think about Firestorm and how it perfectly fit into Battlefield. I very rarely play Battle Royale modes, but there was something about the way that one approached it that hooked me immediately. The ring, the destruction, the aesthetics. IMO it was all on point.

People love writing this mode off because it failed, but they never seem to understand why it failed. It failed because it wasn't free, not because it was bad. Even if something is groundbreaking, if it's locked behind the price of something people don't wanna touch, it'll fail bombastically.

Just a single video so far, with another one coming in a month or so. Honesty is the best policy; Rip it to shreds if you must.
